Bang Bang Georges Niang

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If results conflict with the narrative there will always be people who argue the narrative is correct and the results are wrong.

Occasionally that is the right way to look at it (like the idiot who I saw double down on a 12 and won was still an idiot) but when you get good results consistently then just maybe the narrative is off.

I saw that in Corporate Life for decades. If actual results fall short of the budget it’s always a performance issue and never an unrealistic budget. Because people are NEVER unrealistic with their expectations.

As far as this season is concerned I challenge anyone to name a team that’s been more fun to follow. We’ve had a ton of exciting wins against really good teams, we’ve played well through adversity, we got Gobert to foul out, we kicked Draymond in the nuts one game and got him tossed the other, Strus went nuts, Wade went nuts, CPJ rammed a bucket down Embiid’s throat in overtime, Garland is killing it with threes since the break, Donovan evolved into a floor general, Niang is fucking hilarious, I could go on but it‘s been a blast. We’re moving, we’re shooting, we’re playing D, we’re killing it on the road and we’ve proved we can give the best teams a game.
My favorite team was the Lebron years. They were a championship team in both 2015 and 2016. Had they won in 2015, it's unlikely KD would have gone to GSW in 2016. In 2018, they were completely unpredictable because Lebron was having a season for the ages.

Every game was interesting. You never knew when you'd see something you'd never seen before. Kyrie, Lebron and Love were all great.

The Miracle in Richfield team was also great. They were never out of a game. They only won 49, but they were hot and might have beaten the Celtics had Chones not gotten injured. They had great shooting and great defense and rebounding, and great ball control. Very few turnovers.

But I think I like our current team over the Miracle in Richfield team. We have even more shooting, and almost as good defense and almost as good rebounding. Very entertaining and we never give up.

That miracle team had the great John Lambert. Seems like he did very well for himself as an investment advisor for highnet worth individuals. Like his fellow USC alum Mobley he wasnt very good at 3's.

The Miracle at Richfield team had no business beating Washington and taking the Celtics to six games. Our talent was very limited compared to those teams. We played incredible team defense and were quite healthy all season until Chones broke his foot. Masterful coaching job by Fitch.

The 1984-85 season was similar except they started 2-19 and made the playoffs in George Karl’s first season. The Boston series was unbelievably close all four games. We were completely outclassed in talent but not in fighting heart and physicality.

Those are my two favorite teams for team play and heart due to the severe underdog status.

Obviously the 2014-15 and 2015-16 teams were superior and Game 3 in 2015 might be my all time favorite performance by a Cavalier (Delly). Coming back from 3-1 down in the Finals is unlikely to be matched.

The current team has proven they can overcome adversity. I‘m a fan of each and every one of the guys. I love how different players are heroes on different nights (like MaR team). I’m not placing any expectations or ceilings on this season. I’m just looking forward to watching it play out.

Maybe Niang just needs to be a starter in order to play well. His minutes have looked way better since he was inserted into the starting lineup.

Really don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason as to why/how Georges plays well….

Just make sure to have him a couple Swanson’s TV dinners at the ready when the clock hits 0:00

And that brownie better not be hard when he’s done with his corn & mashed potatoes…

He gets better passes in a position to score

Bro. We've talked about this. Its Popeye's Spicy Chicken and (just learned) Chicken Parm!

I also think his play has improved significantly after the team added a special Toto toilet/bidet to the locker room for when he takes his traditional halftime dump.
