Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Only 2 games back from Seattle tonight. Current standings for the last wild card....

Detroit: 74-61
Kansas City: 74-61
-----------------------------------
Seattle: 72-62 (1.5GB)
Cleveland: 70-64 (3.5GB)

I know Kipnis is a below average 2B (he was trending upwards in 2012 then fell off a cliff, mostly because I think he is getting that Asrubal Cabrera syndrome where he looks a little fat), but I don't think he is going to be a good defender anywhere you place him, and he isn't the kind of hitter you want as a DH. I would rather put the athleticism of Ramirez out in CF than attempt to hide Kipnis in a corner. This also allows Brantley to stay in LF where I think he is a much better defensive player since his arm is utilized more than when he is in CF. Think they'd be making a mistake if they went the way you are suggesting. And I'm not so sure they gave up on Ramirez in the OF in Columbus. If I am remembering correctly, an infielder got hurt and he had to go back to 2B.

Sorry for taking this thread off topic, everyone.....

For me I'd rather hide Kipnis at a corner than keep playing him in the center of the diamond. I just don't see a way the Indians could justify moving Ramirez to the OF when the guy playing Ramirez's best position is well below average defensively, and not hitting enough to make up for the discrepency, especially since the FO has said improving the defense is a priority.

Umm, I don't really know what happened with the CF experiment in Columbus, to be honest-- I think it was more of a way to get everyone AB's than a serious potential position switch because Columbus had E. Johnson (he's playing mostly in LF now), Rohlinger, Sellers, and Ciriaco (plus Ramirez) in the middle infield positions at the time.

I just know that the Indians let it leak that they're considering moving Kipnis or Chisenhall to LF-- that just tells me they're gearing up to give Jozey an everyday job in the INF-- probably 2nd w/ Chiz or Kip at 3rd. Anyways, I think Brantley can easily shift to RF and we keep Bourn in CF. I think shifting Kipnis back to the OF would take some of the defensive pressure off of him and allow his bat to get back on track (that should be priority at this point). It's not ideal but it's nice to have these decisions to make-- it means we have talent. There's always a chance at trading Ramirez, I mean, Didi Gregorious got us Trevor Bauer, after all.....

So, the Tigers lost today. If we win today, this upcoming series against Detroit is HUGE.

Who keeps you cheering September after September

This is an automatic loss. Too good of a crowd in KC.

What does that have to do anything? I would point more to the fact that they have a tough Lefty on the hill and we are hoping that T.J. House can hold up.

*insert chuckles*

They're actually like 4-8 now in front of good crowds (one being last night). Big reason why people told Yost to fuck off when he got on the fans the other day.

Off topic: I just saw Chicago sent Dunn to the A's and Cincy was just involved in a deal.

What's the point of the trade deadline if deals can be made in late August?

God damnit. That fucking defense is going to kill us all night. They're hitting Duffy well.
