Battlefield 4 features include return of 64-player maps, more – rumor

A list of purported Battlefield 4 features have popped up online courtesy of the fella who leaked the artwork last week.

According to information provided to Battlefield 4 Central, the next iteration in the franchise has three factions, a Commander feature, and the return of 64-player maps.

Maps in the game will supposedly be larger and have more details and will ship with the same number of maps as Battlefield 3 with plans for “lots” of DLC – already in the planning stages.

The three factions listed are US, Russia, and an unnamed “Eastern/Asian” faction and four playable classes which have been tweaked with additional features. The game will also come with more game modes and more close quarter infantry maps than BF3 before it.

Battlefield 4 Premium will be available on day one “and include some perks,” and some sort of integration between BF3 and BF4 will be available – most likely through Battlelog-only.

Hit up the link for the full rundown of the rumors.

Battlefield 4 will be revealed at an off-site event during GDC March 26

I still play with my brothers on PS3. I bought Premium as well as the "pre-order" game that only got you the first expansion free. If anyone should complain it's the people that had to pay full price for premium even though they didn't need the first expansion. ;)

I mean I enjoy the close quarter maps but they still need to have a lot of large maps too. This is Battlefield after all, not Call of Duty

The rent-a-server update ruined this game for consoles.

I played alot for the first month or so. Got my rank up to Colonel. Then I haven't played since like November but I just started playing a little bit this month. I dominated like usual, getting first place in about every game I played in. But what sucks is that I literally don't have any new maps or DLC whatsoever, and I don't think it is worth buying them (even though it would be nice to have some new maps). I was shocked to get killed by a crossbow. I didn't even know those were in the game.

I got it because Origin had the Limited Edition + Premium version for only 25 dollars. So i chose this over Call of Duty. I love it!

Being a console guy it pains me to say PC gaming is about to blow the doors off of the console industry.

I am very tempted to spend ten bucks on a controller and download some cheap-ass awesome games.

and thats all I have to say about that.

I got this a few weeks ago for PC after playing it a ton on 360. Going from consoles to PC is definitely an adjustment since PC players seem to be better. I also learned that 64 man Rush servers are way too much.

People been saying PC gonna blow consoles away for years now, not everyone wants to build a pc or pay for a overpriced pre-built gaming rig, nor do they wanna deal with the hassle of software updates, upgrades, drm and mouse and keyboard. Most people enjoy popping in a game and sitting on the couch to play with no hassles.

That's exactly how I play games... on my pc...

I mean hdmi ports, wireless keyboards and wireless mice make it pretty easy to pc game on a huge flat screen from the couch.

Not to mention Windows natively supporting the Xbox 360 controller. I use my pc on my tv for everything.
