WVU is ghey as well, they didnt even have a fan base pretty much until about 10 years ago. Just because it gets a bunch of fans excited doesnt mean shit when your fan base is made up of a bunch of hill billys. And how is oh-io belong to osu? its a chant about the whole damn state not just one school. get real.

Thats like saying "Roll Tide" is cool because it gets all the Alabama people wet. Funny story, whenever i see someone in Alabama stuff, hat, sweatshirt or whatever ill yell "ROLL TIDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" pretty much as loud as i can, doesnt really matter where, it just cracks me up to see there face when i do it and the subsequent reply.

Ive always thought the "running down the hill" at Clemson was the coolest just because its pretty orginal and nobody else does it. War Eagle is pretty cool as well.
 
Ohio State...state of Ohio university...we use Hang on Sloopy aka Ohio's official rock song...we use the Bucknut which is Ohio's official...nut. Their the Bob Cats...no relation to OHIO. Pretty much everything we do reflects the state. Oh one more thing...we're in Columbus...the state capitol.

Ohio State=Ohio's main school. Period. If they want it so bad, we play on sept. 6th..whoever wins, gets the chant. Fair?

As far as traditions, I think it's pretty settled that Script Ohio is #1 nation wide...but #2 I still think it's Texas A&M's 12th man, the swaying of the upperdecks...I got a lot of respect for them.
 
yea yea we know, everything osu does is #1. Except when it comes to playing in the NCG.
 
Nice try smart guy...OSU IS #1 at playing in the national championship game in recent years. It's ok, I'll give ya a mulligan on that one. 3 out of 4 in the major college sports in the last two years plus the only school to make it to 3 in the BCS era...

If you could name more things how OU relates to OSU, I'd be very, very surprised.

Now winning the NGC on the other hand...That's where we have fallen off a little bit.

I could really care less about comparing 2 mid-western colleges to each other. Ill leave that for lbjalltheway. #1 at getting there, also #1 at losing once they get there, Basketball, Soccer, Football x2 all in pretty much the same year...come on now.

btw....where is style, dude pulled a tj and bounced after osu lost, man if that was a UM fan he would be all over it talking trash. Guess A&T got busy again.

^^^All 4 within 364 days of eachother...throw in a Cavs sweep and an Indians breakdown and it was one hell of a year.
 
The OH-IO chant is one of the best fan chants in sports...but it's ours. It never was Ohio's. No one ever knew of it when Ohio "owned it". Every Ohio fan I've ever talked to moans and complains about it. OH-IO chant IS OHIO STATE's. Always has been, always will be. That's all they talk about.

I guess possesion is 9/10's of the law. The always has been, however isn't true. Thus, if I come and live in your house it's now mine by your logic. Ohio University was the first established university in Ohio and the first to use the chant.

Yea, the only reason I knew this was because they beat my sisters school to get to the finals. hahaha.

Wow, so osu students were setting stuff on fire after the loss, jeez, where is style when you need him to post stuff like this. what a bunch of idiots, apparently there student body is about as good as UMD.
 
What major school do you know that doesn't set stuff on fire after a huge loss or win? Get real.
 
ummm, the only ones i know are WVU, UMD and osu, im sure there are others, but i havent heard of anyone else, UMD is sort of infamous for it, but im sure osu is #1 at it.
 
I guess you've never been to Big 12 country...KU, KSU and Nebraska especially, Oklahoma, Okie state and Texas all are big on that.

KSU is by far #1 from what I've seen. Used to live in Lincoln, a news report after Nebraska beat KSU in Kansas showed video of every single car within 500 yards of the stadium with any Nebraska insignia on it had at least two tires slashed, usually all 4. That's of course along with the burning of couches, cars, tables, desks ect.

The highest you could possibly put OSU at is 4th, MAYBE. KSU, NE, and WVU are by far the top 3.

There's no credability behind an "official rock song" a journalist brought up the idea in a newspaper column and a couple of general assembly douches decided to follow up on it. No other states have an official rock song, its pretty stupid.

Your mascot is the official state nut? Thats amazing. Ohio University's mascot is the state's official indigenous cat, so there.

Ohio University was around and using Ohio long before Ohio A&M ever existed. And Ohio University sued OSU for the rights to use Ohio. Ohio University won, OSU lost.

The only reason you guys will probable win next year is because the game is in Columbus. Last time the two schools played in basketball, Ohio University won. Last time in volleyball, Ohio University won.
 
Way to pull the research to find you guys won in Volleyball...I'm struck. I don't know what I'll do with myself knowing OU volleyball is far superior to Ohio State's.

Football? You know we're playing football. As in Ohio State will be at the least three touchdown favorites. I was being sarcastic. That's one of our warmup games before USC. It won't matter if it's in Columbus...it could be in Athens Ohio, Athens Georgia, or just plain Athens...won't matter.

Basketball...not this year.

Ohio, 6 losses, to Holy Cross, Temple, Kansas, St. Mary's, Akron, and BGU. One loss against a good team.

Ohio State, 6 losses, to Texas AM (ranked when we played), North Carolina (ranked 1st when we played), Butler (ranked in top 21 when we played), Purdue, MSU (ranked in top 15 when we played), and Tenn (ranked 7th when we played). Five losses against good opponnets and oh by the way, Purdue took down Wisconsin last night.

The difference between OSU/OU athletics is kinda like Florida to Florida A&M...

No, Hang On Sloopy is official...that's why at all the Cleveland/Cinci games, they play it. Ohio State adopted it, and it's grown to what it is today.

Just face it, nothing will ever change. OSU will always own the chant, we're known for it. We'll always have Hang On Sloopy, we'll always have Script Ohio, we'll always have Block O.
