Well Wade already came out and said he wants to stay in Miami. So thats a big difference right there from our situation.

Bosh to Miami has been considered practically a lock for a few months...sucks to see we couldn't sneak in and convince Bosh to come here instead.

This could open up Amare possibilities though. Hopefully he isn't willing to take a paycut and pair up with JJ in Chicago. That'd be a tempting offer for him IMO....pairing up with JJ in NY not so much though.

I'll say one thing, if he goes to Miami in a sign and trade Lebron isn't going there. Bosh will get the max and i doubt Lebron will settle for less.

I'm not buying it yet. Only a few days ago Bosh said he was going to wait to see what LeBron does. Don't see why that still isn't the case.

Lebron is only hurting himself if he wants to stay here. By not committing as DJG said - why the hell would Bosh want to sign up?

Wade is making it known he is staying and recruiting others to join him.

That was already reported yesterday and got debunked, so I won't believe it till more people start confirming the news. It's a possibility but I think he will wait till LeBron and others make their decision.
Also he hasn't said anything on his twitter account about this.

That's true, we would hold an advantage there because it'd be a S&T.

Like you said, the risk is much higher but as a result IMO the price is much lower. It wouldn't take AV. Not sure how the deal would be structured, though. If it's structured well we could still make another semi-big splash.

The sad fact of the matter is that we cannot offer a colossal trade exception nor do we have a valuable first round pick. Miami has both.

If Toronto was looking for young talent and expiring contracts, then yes we could offer a better deal.

As someone else alluded to, they also have a superstar in Wade ready to commit any moment. LeBron hasn't even said the word "Cleveland" since the playoffs.
