Browns 2018 Season Reboot Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I like Tate a lot but don't really like the fit here since I think his ideal role is in the slot, same as Landry. We've already got two smaller top-tier route runners in Landry and Higgins.
He's better than Landry so there's that.

:chuckle:

#Patriots WR Josh Gordon will be benched for about a quarter tonight as a disciplinary move for showing up late yesterday before the team departed for Buffalo. (@RapSheet, @jeffphowe)

Just when you think you can enter the Browns forum and smell unadulterated dumpster embers without the lingering stench of Josh Gordon's lack of professionalism.... :chuckle:

Still starting him in fantasy though

He's also five years older and there's little point in trading for him when we already have a top-tier slot receiver signed to a long-term deal, plus Higgins on his rookie deal.

National media going IN on the Browns today. Almost seems that the only people actually in to these moves are the people here and a few others that actually follow the team.

One thing I'll say about Kitchens is that he was clearly being groomed for a job like this by Bruce Arians. He experienced success as a tight end coach and then had a lot of success as a QB coach with Palmer. When he was moved to running back coach, David Johnson was emerging and he had to deal with the position after losing the centerpiece of the offense for the season. That's one heck of a resume, showing he understands the details in multiple positions on offense. If not for the lack of play calling, I'd see him as a legit OC candidate.

I just hope he understands that he's allowed to give more than one back five touches or more a game. Because Hue and Haley both seemed to struggle with giving enough touches to their best players here.

Haley has a tradition of have his top offensive assistant call the plays the last exhibition game. Without the team suddenly becoming a juggernaut, Kitchens has no chance of returning unless an aging Bruce Ariens became HC.
