Browns 2018 Season Reboot Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would've been great for Baker's growth, but we're in no position to deal away draft picks just yet. It still stings knowing we gave up a 3rd for Tyrod.

Seems like Tyrod has been really good for Baker's dev though......especially setting expectations for what is expected of a QB at the professional level.

Imagine Baker, minus Tyrod.....with how awful our staff seems to have been. Not seeing a vet take practice reps seriously, not seeing a vet get in at 5AM and leaving at 6PM. Being influenced solely by Hue and Haley......Jesus. There's no doubt Tyrod specifically had a huge first impact on Baker and set an example of what it takes to succeed at the next level.

Also, there hasn't even been a peep about him being unhappy....even though I am sure he is. He's setting a great example for Baker about what sacrificing and being a great teammate is all about at this level.....and he's engaging as a backup and supporting someone who is incredibly important to the franchises future prospects. It's been very selfless on his part.

With how much of a mess our OC / HC situation was, I think we are incredibly lucky to have a stabilizing vet influence like Tyrod, who is a good football mind and an incredible professional. Given the alternative, I'm happy we made the investment in him we did.....what Baker has gotten out of having Tyrod around is worth the draft capital we gave up.

There's been more sightings of big foot than Seth Devalve.

Seriously though, how is Darren Fells getting more snaps than Seth?

Devalve has always tested out as a poor blocker. I haven't seen the numbers on Fells this year but he passes the eye test in his pass protection, seems capable in run blocking, and can catch the ball. In short, he is filling the role of in-line tight end while Devalve is purely a move tight end.

Haley disappointed in using all his weapons on offense, I agree with you on that. He should have been more creative in packages that feature two move tight ends. He also didn't seem interested in utilizing Duke either.

Some of the comments in there are hilarious.

"Well he only has to hold his block longer than Harrison, which isn't hard."

That is hilarious but also true.

I don't think Harrison has been horrible, I am torn on him. For some reason he has been awful in 2 games, but decent in the others, not sure what is going on there.

I think a guy being out of football immediately being thrown into a starting role against some really good defensive teams is what’s been going on.

I get that it’s how he’d conceivably improve but it carries a significant risk in getting Baker merked.

I have given Gregggggg as much shit as anyone on this board, but goddamn if this press conference isn't entertaining as shit.
