Browns Free Agency 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd rather have a decent starting QB. Or give Manziel a full 16 games.

Neither is going to be likely this year, unless Manziel has seen the light after six weeks of rehab. That's just how the market is this year. McCown is a lateral move at best from Hoyer, Thad Lewis is who he is, and Connor Shaw can't make it off the practice squad (although I wouldn't mind seeing him get a fair shot at all).

It's Johnny's job to lose, imo.

Like the guy who said he was done because the Browns didn't sign Suh, I might actually be done if they sign Bowe. What a great strategy to not draft WRs and then sign WRs on the tail-end of their career who were at best average in their prime. That's how to build a winner.

Can't decide if I dislike Bowe because he sucks, or because he torpedoed my fantasy team on multiple occasions.

I want to come here with the argument that Bowe isn't good because of the offense he plays in, then you remember he's coming here (presumably) to play with Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel.

Bowe is clearly not worth 15 mil a year and he is not a number one receiver (which he was forced to be his whole career here in KC). But he would be a DANG good #2 receiver. Add the fact he would be on a much much better contract, I don't see what there is really to complain about.

I didn't realize he was 30 though. He has been with KC a lot longer than I thought. Anyway, he could still be a good player, especially if the wr core is good enough that he won't get double teamed every play.

Williams would be a strong pickup.

Veteran depth, best days are behind him.

I disagree completely about "needing" a receiver without a doubt. My first priority would be more interior line depth. When our line was blocking extremely well, guys were getting open pretty easily.

I don't care if you have Randy Moss, if our interior line is as shitty as it was late in the season, the QB is going to get killed.

They got to shore up their interior line on offense. By far the number one need. Everything else comes down to best talent available.

Alex Mack shores up the interior of the offensive line.

He and Bitonio are Pro Bowl caliber players, and they're getting Bowie off IR who could potentially slide inside as well.

Very solid.

Im guessing Tramon gets inked and it could go as an underrated move. Haden can use a vet on the other side when times are tough with the youngin's.

Agreed. Front 7 and passing attack should be the focal point. Special teams as well. But our O Line is up there with the best even though our RT is a weakness.

I've had Cameron Erving chiseled into pick 19 for awhile now. He'd be a RG this year and take over center when Mack bolts next year (Browns have done quite a bit of background work on him as well)
