Browns hire Rob Chudzinski

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The fact that we were going to get Warhop or Sparano is very encouraging to me. Both are excellent offensive line coaches.

Think we really need to have the DC done early this week so we can move onto hiring a staff.

If they really want Pagano, they have to wait for SD to make some decisive steps with their own coaching search. With 4 more teams knocked out of the playoffs this weekend, and with Arians out of the hospital, you would think that SD will be able to make progress soon.

Isn't he the 2nd guy brought in to supposedly handle contracts and negotiations?

If your talking about Banner, i think hiring this guy means Banner will be hands on in all football operations

There was another guy we brought in to handle contracts. I can't remember his name though.

Alec Scheiner was hired from Dallas to be the team president. He's handling the day-to-day business operations.

I feel like he's the fourth guy brought in for that area. You've got Banner, Scheiner from Dallas, Wiedemier from Miami, and now this guy.

Now just bring in Lombardi to be our talent evaluator. :puke:

Actually think Banner is doing a pretty respectable job in building up the organization's leadership - now we'll have to see what he does with the player personnel part.

When you see how many guys he's brought in to handle similar positions it really makes you wonder how this team operated with basically just Holmgren as President and Heckert as GM.

Exactly. For all the talk about how screwed up the Mangini regime was (it was), the Holmgren organization wasn't that much better - especially when you consider Holmgren half-assed it, or so the rumor goes.

I like that Haslam and Banner are bringing so many experts to handle different aspects of the business. Though I don't think Lombardi will be given a major role, the rumor out there just freaks me out - anyone but him will seem like a great pick at this point.

I wonder if we didn't do much in free agency because we didn't have anyone to negotiate contracts :chuckles:. Seriously though, stories of him coming in at like 10 or 11 am just pissed me off. I liked Heckert a lot, but I'm glad Holmgren got canned. Shurmur hire, laziness, and forcing Heckert to make picks he didn't want, he really hurt things. Really Heckert is all he did right.
