Buckeyes have finally gone to far

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Who cares. He's a criminal who ditched on a court date. He wouldn't have an arrest warrant otherwise. If he had any class he'd come back to Columbus, turn himself in, and make bail before the game like any other common criminal.

bro, your acting like OSU isnt getting ready for this game. you think that little things like this make a difference??? 106,000 people will be there, including me :chuckles: , if you cant get amped enough already than something is wrong.

:thisguy: Burgess. This is hilarious.

Ok, now that I'm done laughing, link? I want a legitimate link, ie. not some poster on another board, or this is a baseless rumor and it's going in the trash can. I would keep it up just for laughs, but I'm trying to keep discussion on this forum at a respectable level.

God, I hope it's real. This is pricelss.

The George said:
BS....buckeyes are scared and now trying to distract us....keep poking cause we are coming
First of all, the buckeyes didn't do this. It's not going to be Jim Tressel or any other Ohio State player or coach sitting their waiting with the hand cuffs. The Ohio State university has nothing to do with this.

Second, Ohio State is not scared, get real. Michigan is good this year, don't get me wrong, but Ohio State is clearly the better team. Plus, it's in Columbus. If both teams come to play and the luck is even, Ohio State wins by two scores. This isn't even counting that Tressel has the hoodoo on Carr, which he does.

Michigan could win, sure, but they'll need help: either from luck, the refs, or from Ohio State laying an egg. They can't win it on their own. And Ohio State knows it. So no, they are not scared.

I cant link premium info but this is the article

Rumors have been running rampant these past 24 hours about the status of U-M senior linebacker Prescott Burgess following a report on Fox 28 in Columbus last night that "an arrest warrant had been issued for Prescott Burgess, from an alleged incident that occurred when he briefly lived in Columbus as a 14-year old." TheWolverine.com has been looking into the facts of the case all morning …

Associated Press
The report continued that "The warrant stems from a report that Burgess stole CDs from a now defunct music store. Prosecutors were deciding whether to file charges."

According to a reliable source directly involved with the case, an arrest warrant will not be filed against Burgess after the charges were dismissed in court earlier this week. A native of Warren, Ohio, Burgess was a juvenile when the crime allegedly occurred and it would be impossible, according to the source, to prosecute him in this case.

"It's absolutely over with," our source said. "Prescott Burgess will not be arrested today or anytime in the future in relation to this alleged crime. This is not an issue. Records or warrants of this nature are routinely cycled out of the system when the subject becomes an adult and for some reason this one was not. It should have been dismissed years ago."

A defendant convicted of a similar crime can face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. However, "In 1998, the disposition of this case would have been counseling," our source said.

A six-game starter this season for the Wolverines, Burgess ranks second defensively with 38 tackles, including 4.5 for loss. He has two sacks, five pass break ups and two interceptions, including one he returned for a 31 yards for a touchdown in Michigan's 47-21 win at Notre Dame Sept. 16.

and it is on scout.com.....why would I make this up Style

Style if you honestly think that than I am giving you too much credit as far as knowledge of college football....I didnt think you were a typical buckeye homer but that BS you just spewed out proves it

keep thinking that though.....and I want no excuses when you lose

What he said is true.

The only palyer that on michigan thats better than an OSU player is burgess over laurinitis,sp.

QB isnt close
Recievers arent close
Running back is iffy, i feel hart is overrated.
Bucks overall defense is better
Better Punter
your field goal kicker is probably better, but not by much
OSU has better o/d line
OSU has a better coach
Its in the Shoe

If missagain some how wins without a lucky play or by help from the officals I will give you credit and rep you.

ok lets start with Overall defense....not sure how you get that you are better but oooook

WR....Mario Manningham is better than anyone you got....Ill take Mario and Arrington and Breaston over Gonzo and whats his name....not to mention our TEs are better

RB is not iffy and Hart is not overrated....although Pittman is very underrated

Oline for michigan is very strong but so is OSU more of a draaw than anything

DLINE....dude het out of here....Michigan has th ebest dline in the country PERIOD

and BTW Burgess isnt even our best LB....that would be Dave Harris

so I take our front 7 over OSU but OSU secondary might be better except Leon Hall is the best CB on both teams

guys I am not saying Michigan is an overwhelming favorite to win....no we will be a dog for sure.....but if you think that OSU is on another level above UM than you have got another thing coming

The George said:
im sorry bomb sniffing dogs that had to search through and open up every bag that Michigan had brought

awefully conveinent.....or a fwe years back that Michigan's showers had no hot water hmmmm im sure that wasnt a big deal either

and Phi Psi you are proving my point for me.....they knew about when he was 14 and decided then not to prosecute....Now just before the biggest game ever bewtween UM and OSU this is when they decided to bring it up....its baloney and every1 here knows it

and if there were ever a need for drug sniffing dogs I can say that the OSU bus should be the one being searched not UM.....

and your comment about Michigan being worried .....well I am sure someone checked into it considering that Burgess is a starter and the news was that he would be arrested when he showed up....does that mean they are scared ?? no

Michigan is ready for this game....little things like this are just stirring the pot......ill say it again....keep poking and see what happens

First it was dogs searching for drugs....which it wasn't.
Then the Mich bus was stopped for hours...which they weren't.
Now you're claiming they still searched every single bag of every player...which they didn't.

Furthermore, the entire point of this thread "The Buckeyes have finally gone too far with Burgess" ends up being a non-event...no warrents, no arrests, just whining about something that never even happened.

As far as OSU not having hot water for Michigan in the visitor's locker room...typical rivalry week stuff that happens every year, everywhere...if it even happened. Maybe this was a little payback for when OSU went to Michigan and every single toilet was filled to the brim with stew so evil it could have only come from Michigan native's bodies...classy.

Whether it's the bus story or this Burgess story, maybe if you would get your facts right the first time you'd spare yourself all this anxiety over nothing.

Just curious George, do you go to Iowa message boards and complain about the visitor locker rooms being pink? I hear they only do it for Michigan games.

I never accused you of making it up. Just like the last time you posted a baseless rumor. There is a difference between starting and spreading rumors; however, I will not tolerate either here.

Style if you honestly think that than I am giving you too much credit as far as knowledge of college football....I didnt think you were a typical buckeye homer but that BS you just spewed out proves it
I believe Ohio State is clearly better. I'm willing to bet that 99% of college football fans and analysts that aren't biased toward either team agree with me. In fact, I haven't even heard a single Michigan fan say that Ohio State isn't the number 1 team in the country. Is Ohio State the better team? We'll find out soon enough. However, b/c I see the same thing that damn near everyone else in the world sees when they look at these two teams, I must be blinded by my homer bias? Give me a break.

Maximus, you are my dude. I'd rep you, but apparently you were the last person I repped. The first round of beer is on me next time you're in Apex.

You cant say either team is better than the other until they play on the field.

They are pretty even on paper.

A Mac aka The Truth said:

Why not? How can you even have a top 25 if you can't possibly say that one team is better than another if they haven't played?

hey can someone answer a question for me?

WHAT TIME IS IT!?

Style I have done nothign but say how good the buckeyes are all year....no where do I say that they arent the number 1 team....in fact I say that we will be a dog int he game

but you said that OSU is on another level than Michigan which I do not believe to be true

and I am certainly glad that we all now know what Style will or will not tolerate...get over it.....im tired of you basically trying call me a liar....I would post info on the steriod issue but I can not post premium info from Rivlas or scout as to where I got that information from....I have no reason to make shit up

as for Maximus....Whatever reason the dgos were there for they did go throgh individual bags as many players complained about the german sheppards drooling all over the clothes and items they brought with them....yes it did affect the amount of time we had for our pre game routine and yes U of M officals were pissed about it not just fans...further more about the Burgess story...the court did indeed try to process this but came up short because there was no legal reason to do it.....did it end up being an issue? no...did a dumb buckeye court system try and make it an issue? yes they did which to me is going to far

anyways all that I am saying is little thigns that really arent a big deal are startign to get old....i am just telling you what I am hearing from people who know....Players and coaches alike are just using this for more ammo....this is an angry Michigan team you will see.....thats all I am saying

You never answered Maximus's question - did you complain on Iowa message boards about the pink locker rooms?

I'd try to keep relatively quiet about the maize & blue until after November 18th man, you're digging yourself a hole. You won't enjoy it everyone starts piling on you after the asswhoopin the Wolverines are headed for. I know you are just sticking up for your team but be ready after 11/18.

geroge ill never get you to believe that what I feel OSU has an advantage over michigan, and you will never do the same to me.

how is it that you have had trouble with some big ten teams and the Bucks havent. Iowa gave you guys trouble!!!! The Bucks spanked Iowa, when it was a sat. night game.
