Carmelo Anthony- I'm Coming Home

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gotta agree with everyone else here man..

Him coming back would take either him or Gilbert taking a step back from their egos, which I really don't see happening..

*shrug*

That's fine. We're just discussing- well, at least everybody but Apathy is, who would rather freak out at the notion. :chuckles: People change and people forgive each other. Six years is a hella long time. I've been wronged by people immensely before (shit much more important than a sport, no less), and forgiven them in a quarter of the time that will have passed with all these shenanigans.

No skin off my back if James never returns. You already know my stance on him. He will never have my respect until he gives us the title he promised.

Knicks fans are the best.... After last night they're ready to bring Gallo and Chandler home and send Carmelo somewhere else...

Like cmstophe has been saying, a lot can change quickly. In a few years LeBron is going to be less concerned with status and more concerned with legacy. It's at that point that I won't be shocked to see him come back to Cleveland. LeBron and Gilbert both came away from The Decision looking bad. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the best way to repair that damage. Even Maverick Carter can see the good will/public relations bonanza that would come from LeBron patching things up and going back to the Cavs.

Again, not saying it's going to happen. Just saying it wouldn't surprise me.

This is clearly an issue very close to your heart judging by how offended you are acting. :chuckles: For the record, the Nostradumbass comment was me saying I don't like making passionate predictions about what other people are thinking or will be thinking 6 years from now because I would end up looking like a dumbass. I accept there is a possibility he won't come back- obviously. It's not like I'm counting on him coming back, it's just a hunch I have. Personally, I'm thinking he finds his way back here somehow. You are hell bent on the fact that he is not ever coming back, no way, no possibility, and as you say that you are clearly raging like crazy.

Chill it. There's no need. All of us were hurt by James, but for fuck's sake, it's 8 months later. We should be able to talk about the guy rationally at this point.

EDIT: I wrote a whole response to this, but I figure it won't do anything as when I tried to give a reason for my opinion you said I was raging and changed your prediction of him definitely returning to "accepting there is a possibility he won't come back". But hell, it's the internet, I understand. :dunno:.

By the way, in the spirit of future discussion, when someone tries to reason their opinion, it might be better to not devote half of your posts speculating how 'offended' that person is or how they are 'raging'. Leave that shit to 4chan.

Anyway, have a good one, hope you don't draw any anger from this post

I only said so because it sounded like you were upset with me. Which you really had no reason to be. I think you may be a bit confused about where I stand on this, but there isn't much else to say.

Haven't we thought all this time that LeBron was concerned with his legacy?!

He fooled us once with that, who's to say he won't again?

Besides, we'll already be well into our rebuild 6 years down the line & (if all goes right) in contention again.

Do you honestly see LeBron, in his early 30's, taking a backseat?

He won't be an old man by any means yet, and I really don't see him coming back. Moreso, I don't see Gilbert accepting him back. He won't cater to his every need & won't let him have any influence over any type of decisions. No match, IMO.

Everybody is looking at this from LeBron's POV... It takes two to dance here and I just don't see the Cavaliers franchise willing to do it from the standpoint that LeBron's decision hurt the feelings of a whole state basically--- if it was something on a small scale, then I could see it--but the Cavs franchise would take a ton of backlash and again would look they are grabbing their ankles if they allowed him to come back after having all of his success and prime seasons in Miami....

It would be a poor PR move. because it's not like they would be bringing back a Fan Favorite...People hate his ass, like literally hate him and I'm sure some would move on, but as soon as some would catch wind that he would be on his way back, the Cavs would be getting a ton of flack.... Not a doubt in my mind... This isn't like Griffey leaving Seattle to go to Cincy (people probably forget how pissed Seattle was after getting their new stadium and Griffey wanting to leave for Cincy--yet welcomed him back in Seattle a year or so ago after 10 years away)-- or maybe Orlando welcoming Shaq back now ??

There's NO CHANCE....LeBron's depature was on a whole different level
