And WTF is Mark Cuban smoking, lol?

DeAndre being the franchise player and them providing him most post-ups? :chuckle:

Hardball negotiating with Stuckey.
What's to negotiate? We can offer 3.4million mLE. Sort of hope they don't wait on Aldridge to get him. But if, all of a sudden, the Spurs need cap space wouldn't we be smart to NOT help them and make them scramble? Can't see them wanting to help us either.

Always be closing.

Do the Spurs need to dump anymore to get Aldridge? I feel like they've lost so many players that they have a max slot.

Man i remember surfing AOL in high school and looking for Akron rooms to chat in..good old days. I admit i put that a lot too haha
Well damn...I was like 10 when AIM was at its peak. Guess I didn't have a/s/l game when I was 10 :chuckle:

Edit: My lord I just remembered my screen name...LOL it is embarrassing.

why could we not put an offer sheet for out 3.4 mill in front of corey joseph??

dont the spurs only have a limited time to match and wouldnt matching mess w Aldridge signing?

They've got a max slot. It's just that maxing out LMA leaves them with just somewhere between $3-5M, which is what Duncan would be left with. But I guess they said he would play at a discount.

If the Spurs miss out on LMA, is this a worst case offseason for the Spurs? Giving away Splitter for nothing, losing Baynes and Belinelli...what if Manu retires?

Mark Cuban is never going to just sit back and throw his hands up because he didn't get his 1st or 2nd targets. Even if it is an attempt to both fuck things up for rivals (this certainly did) or create intrigue a couple years down the road for some other free agent (Durant, perhaps?), Cuban was going to make a splashy move this offseason.

He just basically took the Clippers out of championship contention unless they can somehow dig their way out of this and recoup a couple of big guys who can help ease the blow. And while DeAndre may not be the ideal fit on the Mavs as their currently constructed, something tells me they could look completely different this time next year or in a couple summers from now.

Jordan is still a young player (26) who a lot of big names would love to have by their side with what he brings to the table. Being that the cap will explode next summer, why not take a swing, reverse course and see how this new situation can be manipulated into a winner.

I like the strategy, personally. And, if I were OKC, I might be a little worried about the future ramifications of this move.

Looks like they'd get David West if they miss LMA.

Koufos would be a good fit for the Spurs. They desperately need a center.

I just naturally assume that James Jones comes back but could you imagine if LeBron was good with letting him walk?

They are in position to add 3 great young additions to the bench.

I wouldn't be surprised if James Jones retired and they brought him back as an assistant coach. That seems to be the only thing that makes sense. Definitely not for his basketball purposes.

how much salary can we take back for haywood??? if we took reddick, crawford and hamilton or wilcox they would save like 14 million or so....then they could offer kosta koufos $$$$$$

theyd kinda be screwed this year but its easier to find a serviceable sg and 6th man type then a center
