Kanter got a 4 year Max offer... just give Tristan the max now...

I don't think he's necessarily overpaid.

Enes Kanter is really good. He's better than Tristan Thompson.

I rather give him the max than Deandre Jordan, personally.

If the Thunder can stay healthy, I have them, the Spurs, AND the Clippers all ahead of GS next year.

The west just got better.

Kanter's numbers in OKC - 18.7 ppg, 11.7 rpg.

OKC is going to be fucking scary next year.

I wish we could take Anthony Morrow off the Thunder's hands. He can really shoot from distance.

Too bad his contract is only in the $3.3 million range, so it wouldn't save the Thunder much.

OKC would be a Tax team if they matched Kanter's offer. they would the perfect trade partner for the Cavs, the only problem: they really don't have any interesting players who would help us (who would have thought that it's tough finding solid SFs lol). maybe a 3 team trade could be arranged, something like this:

with OKC giving Phoenix a pick or two (OKC would save a lot of money)

Isn't that inflated stats though considering Durant was done, Ibaka was done and even times where Adams was hurt.

He can thank his max contract on those guys. He still balled out but he had an golden opportunity.

22 million in tax at that. They will trade some guys. Or donate some guys for that matter.

Maybe, but a center that gets you 15 to 10 a game, that's just 23 years old, is going to get a max contract in this league.

That's hardly a surprise. No one should be.

He was putting up good enough numbers in Utah, he was going to get paid regardless.

He's still more of a max than Tris, can't complain giving Kanter a max with or without those bulky stats. If Tris had half of Kanter's offensive game we'll be happy.

The "15 and 10" argument for giving Kanter a max contract is a pretty poor one. Personally, I would not be a fan of giving a max contract to a C who can't protect the paint or the rim. Guy makes Greg Monroe look like Ben Wallace. Him and Tristan aren't worth the max in any other climate except for one where the cap is rising substantially.

Well he definitely gets a max with the salary going up. More deserving than TT imo. He averaged 18.7PPG and 11RPG with the Thunder last year. Definitely needs to improve his defense but he's a good offensive player and one of the top offensive rebounders in the league.

Oh yea Draymonds contract ended up being 5 years 82 million for anybody wondering

Yeah....Kanter's stats are super inflated on a terrible team and he can't defend. I'd let him walk.....

It doesn't matter what you would. I am saying guys like him have a history of getting paid the max contract, given his position, age, and production.

I don't know why people would scoff at that, when Deandre Jordan was being coveted this off-season, like he's Wilt Chamberlain.

The dude is a liability himself.

Enes' market value shouldn't be seen as extreme though.

The Thunder were terrible? Really? 45-37, and missing the 8th seed in the West by one game isn't exactly horrible.

This notion he was putting up good numbers on a bad team is deeply flawed.

Guys, all the rumored deals we had with Phoenix were dependent on Phoenix needing to clear cap space to sign LMA. They are currently under the cap even with Tyson Chandler's contract. They have no reason to dump salary.

In fact, given the falls of Dallas and Portland, Phoenix probably feels like they are a playoff team right now. If anything, they'd want to add salary/players.
