Cavs Ticket Questions, Policies, and STH Concerns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have a buddy who lives like 3 hours away and bought season tickets simply to resell for profit (he is always looking to make an extra buck). When I told him that if he doesn't go to games, his tickets would be revoked, he got ticked. However, this is exactly what the Cavs are trying to prevent. Hopefully next Thursday night, there is not a single empty seat in the joint. Can't wait for this season!
Its funny, I can see the reason the Cavs want to do it from a PR stand point. But think of the money the Cavs would make if he sold every game on FlashSeats. They would get the cost of their ticket plus 23%. Financially it makes no sense for the Cavs to have this policy. But at the end of the day, it should leave ticket prices lower for the rest of us.

Yeah, financially it's a bit puzzling, but it seems like the Cavs are legitimately doing a large majority of fans a big solid by doing this. Not everyone can afford to pay exorbitant prices to see a game, but they shouldn't be denied the privilege of watching a game paying at or near face value.

here is a decent write up on yesterdays meeting

You think that that many people will shell out another $50 a ticket to try to spot Jay Z with binoculars from the upper deck?

Yes. This is more of an event than a basketball game, most people going just want to be seen and say they went.

Hell, 50,000 people say there at Len Barker's perfect game and attendance was only 3,000. Plus thanks to Dan, you won't even have a ticket stub to show for it.....

crazy

Is it considered a steal if the guy was asking around $220 per ticket? I can't remember how many tickets he had, I think he had six of them. Someone bid on four of them and I bidded on the last two. :chuckle:

how the heck did you pull this off? how many bids did you put out at once?

Just got the best news! My bid for tickets of $80 was successful for the home opener!! Section 203. I am so pumped!!

For the season ticket holders - what color is your Membership badge that comes attached to the lanyard? I've seen gray and red ones, and as a 10-gamer I have a gray one. Is red for full/half?
