Cavs Ticket Questions, Policies, and STH Concerns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's literally all I'm thinking about. Will most likely be losing sleep this whole week like a little kid at Christmas

Wednesday night, I will probably not be sleeping at all lol. Good thing I only have one class Thursday.

Over the next couple days I'd appreciate if some cleveland'ers could post some advice on bars to go to before games and best places to park to avoid the most traffic.

Every time I've gone to a Cavs game I've driven from columbus and just did standard parking, and didn't get there early enough to enjoy some of the scenery and bars prior to gimetime.

Anybody else playing the bidding game? I just put out 10 bids for people who are selling sets of 4 tickets. Hope it goes well!

Best kept secret for parking and drinks:

Valet Park on E. 4th St. It's only like $12 plus tip.

Then after the game, just grab a drink at Greenhouse Tavern or The Butcher and The Brewer or Harry Buffalo. Whatever your taste is. Chill there for 30 or 45 min or so, have them bring your car around, then leave the city with no traffic.

You're welcome. :D

Whatever you do, get their EARLY. There's going to be a concert outside the Q during the day, so there will be lots of people for that. So far, the weather is going to be about a hgh of 50, with no rain, so, the nicer the weather, the more the people and traffic heading or staying downtown. On the other hand, the worse the weather, i.e., rain, the heaver and slower the traffic. Still lots of construction downtown, and exits keep on closing, so keep that in mind. Also, keep in mind that rush hour traffic can be heavy downtown throught around 6:30, although I went that time to the Cavs ticketholder meeting lsast Thursday and there was some gridlock due to exits out of town closing.

My philosophy is get there early and wait or leave late and wait in your car, in traffic, while the limited parking spots get filled.

I plan on going early, having dinner and getting to the Q early, watching warmups, etc. The action is inside of the Q, in my opinion.

As far as bars, there is I think Harry Buffalo right across from the Q on E. 4th and a bunch more a block or so further towards or around East Fourth. There is the Winking Lizard, a great spot for cheap food and drink a little further. The Clevelander is off public square and is a popular sports bar and there is Panini's on East 9th Street, good sports bar with good pannini sandwhiches.

Keep in mind that there is also the Casino next to the big LeBron mural that is going up.

Parking is all around, but, again, depending on when you come, spots may be at a premium since there will still be cars parked from the working day. I have parking passes to the attached garage to the Q, but there is always a line. The casino took away one of the parking garages to use for the casino, so, again, less parking spots. Keep in mind that while the parking close to the Q is convenient, it will take longer to empty out after the game.

Good luck and get there early!

I am concerned there is a large seller in the FlashSeats Marketplace for the Cavs opener. They seem to own a large amount of seats and all sell tickets around the same time. It seems like a computer algorithm deciding to sell after a certain time if the bid reaches a certain percentage of asking price. Please see below for what I have come up with just looking at it from the user's end perspective.

How come every ticket that is sold for between $80-100 has a "SELL NOW" time of between 1:13PM and 1:30PM? The chance of this happening randomly seems very low. These are the lowest prices tickets that have sold out of all tickets.
There seems to be someone in charge of very large number of tickets from all different sections. The list prices range from $270-770. These seats are also all very close seats. They range between row #1 and row #7. The tickets sell between 12%-25% of the original asking price.

Here is the summary of what I've seen on FlashSeats:

2 seats Section 203 Row 7 , 5 seats Section 203 Row 1, 6 seats Section 223 Row 5, 4 seats Section 217 Row 10, 2 seats Section 221 Row 6, 2 seats Section 211 row 4, 4 seats Section 219 Row 5

Besides these tickets, there are also three other sets of tickets that don't fall within this 10 minute time range, but meet the other requirements of selling for around 20% of asking price and selling all three sets at exactly 12:15PM. The lists are $420-539 and sell for $115-135.

Anyone got an idea of what this could be? Seems strange.

^ I got the $80 dollar ones :chuckle:

But, it does kinda seem like it is the same person selling them.

Or, it is just a coincidence a bunch of the tickets got sold within the time frame.

My opener ticket safari has finally ended! I just got two tickets for $100 a piece. I bid on these tickets for $100.23. They were list price at $338 a piece.

Section 211, Row 4, Seats 5 & 6

Nice another forum member in the section.

So I'm only looking for 1 ticket. I don't really care where just that it's "reasonable." Do you guys think I should bid now or wait a little while to see if prices drop?
