Once again, this is NOT how things work. I get it that "nostalgia" is very pervasive. That's frankly the only reason we're even having the discussion. It's not about what you want the logo to mean. It's about what the logo is. People shrugging it off or saying that it's an annoying topic doesn't make the topic any less important or the logo any less embarrassing.

It's crazy how pointing out blatant racism is being spun as sensitive and liberal. Can't tell you how many people I've observed in my circle and out that were against any change whatsoever and eventually had that "a-ha moment". Once it clicks in your head, it's a wrap. Zero to do with sensitivity.

Like, I love this team and want to rock the logos. It's not fun going against the grain with hometown sports and having to avoid the merch. There's a reason more and more people are discussing this and bothered by the branding. It's not because it's a blast doing it.
What the logo IS is an anthropomorphic cartoon face for our baseball team. It doesn't even have a body attached to the face! That is what it objectively is, and anything beyond that is reading into "what you want the logo to mean".

The only reason I'm passionate about this topic is because I myself have never viewed it in the racist light other people have viewed it as, and I don't associate the logo with real Native American people. Most people don't.

I'm also not trying to force it upon people. It's not our "official" logo anymore, and people have the option to buy and wear Cleveland Indians merchandise without that logo. We have reached a conclusion and compromise on this issue and people can embrace the "C" merchandise instead if they prefer it. The end.

I really wanna buy some Indians gear; especially now... I'm hoping to get some jerseys for me and my wife (she's a Dodgers fan).

But I can't wear/buy/support Chief Wahoo....

Hear's to hoping they change it this offseason..
There is plenty Chief-less gear available to buy, just fyi.

You can get gear without the Chief on it. The AL Central shirt doesn't have the Chief

You can get the block C hats. I think some jerseys don't have the chief patch but I can't remember (not good with detail into uniforms in general)

Curious, would you ride as hard for these other two? Would it be overly sensitive to say that those were inappropriate?

I think you missed my point. The government stepping in and making a law forcing the Indians to do something is something no one should support no matter how much you despise the chief. It isn't their place.

Is that happening? Or are we talking about the Supreme Court's Redskins case?

Ruling expected at 5:30 apparently.

Are there chief-less jerseys?
Yes. Nearly every Indians jersey on the MLB shop, you can buy a jersey with a Chief Wahoo patch on the left sleeve, or an identical option with nothing printed instead.

The ones with the Chief are labeled as "Authentic Collection", the ones without are not.

Block C navy hat also matches with everything it seems. One of my go to hats. Not a bad buy is what I'm saying.

Didn't @shoes22 say in another thread that the MLB already backed the Indians on this and the Blue Jays can basically do diddilidy doo about this

BTW, complete petty bullshit by Ontario here. Oh you have such a problem with the Chief? Interesting this is the time you choose to bring it forward when your team is playing them in the playoffs down 0-2. We play in toronto every year and have for a long time.

What they're doing IMO is despicable. Trying to capitalize off of a controversy to "help" their baseball team. Fuck off

Yup. Indians had 27 people represent them, including people from the MLB I believe.
