Well, the season is over and you've had a chance to eye me a little more. I probably talk too much and too loud. And least that's what I get a lot. But I'm too damn used to playing me to do another character. I do hope to improve upon this year's efforts but how and where is an open question. I took a rather substantial pay cut to cover the Cavs and I have to see what happens.
I haven't outright said it much, but I've mentioned it here and there, and Michael James for one has mentioned it on his radio show a few times. I was looking to write a book on this season. (you want to talk about all-in?) I have an agent but no book deal, and each passing week makes that harder to sell, just because of the various timelines and how long it takes most publishers to get things to print.
So my life is a little bit unwritten so to speak.
But I did want to offer to meet-up on what would've been Game 7 Friday night. I live on the West Side and have a couple favorite bars over here, but I am ever flexible and if someone suggests another locale I'm cool with it.
My lack of a day job means it will be more of a happy hour affair wherever we do it. I'm thinking 4-8 or 9. I still have a lot of unpacking to do, but I do have a lot more free time. At some point I need to bang out a couple cover stories on doctor-run ACOs (the hospitals are systematically raping us) and the streaming wars, but for the time being might as well take the opportunity to meet some of the most knowledgeable sports fans in the area.
