Nice article and appreciate the fact that it was written in a non biased way - Did not realize you were an Engerlander !!!!

He isnt, that is where he got press credentials this year for the finals.

Just saw you on Sportscenter @Chris Parker. Good question on stopping GSW rebounding and good answer by Blatt that its critical the Cavs maximize the opportunities on the boards. I think that will become THE critical factor in the final two games.

@Chris Parker, when you're ready, would love your thoughts...

@Chris Parker

Just want to thank you again for all you've done this year in service to Cavs Nation. So glad to have you on board.

Also, I'm a huge fan of KRS One myself. He might be my favorite rapper ever. Been a fan since the Boogie Down Productions days.

Your endorsement of him only elevates your taste and judgment in my view.

Well, the season is over and you've had a chance to eye me a little more. I probably talk too much and too loud. And least that's what I get a lot. But I'm too damn used to playing me to do another character. I do hope to improve upon this year's efforts but how and where is an open question. I took a rather substantial pay cut to cover the Cavs and I have to see what happens.

I haven't outright said it much, but I've mentioned it here and there, and Michael James for one has mentioned it on his radio show a few times. I was looking to write a book on this season. (you want to talk about all-in?) I have an agent but no book deal, and each passing week makes that harder to sell, just because of the various timelines and how long it takes most publishers to get things to print.

So my life is a little bit unwritten so to speak.

But I did want to offer to meet-up on what would've been Game 7 Friday night. I live on the West Side and have a couple favorite bars over here, but I am ever flexible and if someone suggests another locale I'm cool with it.

My lack of a day job means it will be more of a happy hour affair wherever we do it. I'm thinking 4-8 or 9. I still have a lot of unpacking to do, but I do have a lot more free time. At some point I need to bang out a couple cover stories on doctor-run ACOs (the hospitals are systematically raping us) and the streaming wars, but for the time being might as well take the opportunity to meet some of the most knowledgeable sports fans in the area.

@Chris Parker

Great job covering the team this year. Are you going to get that sit down session with Blatt? I'm looking forward to your thoughtful questions, his answers, and what he is like when the camera are off and away from the floor.

Well no one seems too interested. But if anyone wants to stop in and have a beer, I will be at Pug Mahone's, 17621 Detroit Ave in Lakewood from 4-8 or so on Friday night.

I live in South Carolina so I can't make it Friday but will definitely hit you up the next time I'm home. I feel like I owe you a beer or 10 for being one of the only voices of sanity among Cavs reporters. If you'd slap the snot out of Joe Vardon, I'm pretty sure you'd drink for free from all of us forever.

Would love to talk music and basketball with you but the walk from Long Beach to Cleveland is too long. Can't make it by Friday

I would but I have a wedding to attend tomorrow! Friday wedding...cheapskates.

Another time and I'd be down.

Thanks Chris for all your insights on the Cavs this season. It's been extremely valuable IMO for the forum to have that "insider" access. I hope that you will continue to cover the Cavs so we may benefit in the future. If not hopefully you will remain in the capacity of purely being a Cavs fan.

Damn, used to literally live down the block from that joint. If I was still there, I'd be in. Gotta love dollar drafts.

Fun fact: The bar's name is a play on "Pogue Mahone", Gaelic for "Kiss my ass"

My wife is from Westlake and we still visit her family all the time. I'd be glad to meet you out for a beer or 4 sometime. I think I'll be up next weekend. That or the the next time I have a show in Cleveland maybe we can hang. You are one hell of a mind I'd love to converse with, whether sports, music or some other topic. Great job this year covering the Cavs Chris!
