Jordan Hill underwent surgery Wednesday morning to repair his injured left hip.

Performed by Dr. Thomas Byrd in Nashville, Hill had loose fragments removed from the joint. He also had a torn labrum repaired and a microfracture procedure to heal damaged cartilage.

Hill is expected to be out for six months. He will be re-evaluated by Byrd in February.

Re: Cavs looking to trade Daniel Gibson?

Only way Boobie gets traded to the Lakers is if we get involved as one of the multiple trade partners in a Dwight Howard deal.

Re: Cavs looking to trade Daniel Gibson?

Why is this board fascinated with Jordan Hill? He's not even that good. He's Mareese Speights with braids.

Re: Cavs looking to trade Daniel Gibson?

Boobie would be absolutely deadly with the Lakers. Kobe has drove and dished out to an open guy for 3 about a dozen times tonight, and Artest has missed a majority of them. They could use a spot up shooter.

Re: Cavs looking to trade Daniel Gibson?

Boobie out AGAIN tonight with personal reasons. Could use him at PG with Kyrie out.

Probably has an acute case of hemorrhoids because of all the sitting he's been doing lately. :chuckles:

Re: Cavs looking to trade Daniel Gibson?

Yes Trade him! Since he has gotten hurt he never plays and he hasnt shot as well as he use to.

Re: Cavs looking to trade Daniel Gibson?

Boobie won't be around next year. Might as well put up with him not playing for another month and a half, because unless we get smashed by the injury bug, it's looking like that'll be the case.

Re: Cavs looking to trade Daniel Gibson?

If the cavs can get someone more reliable than they should do it. But Gibson still is a dead eye from three, and defends well. If the cavs let him walk and don't add another guard I guess it's not a big deal, but I'd rather not lose him and have nothing to replace him with. He doesn't really fit with what Scott is trying to do. But he's still depth and defends point guards the best on the team.

Gibson's 3P% has been trending down the last three years. Ellington is better at ever facet of the game than Gibson.

Gibson has no future on this team, none. He hasn't shown much growth in any area of his game. He doesn't have great handles or passing ability. He also doesn't have much success getting to the cup. Sure, he's improved defensively somewhat, but who's he going to primarily guard? Backup PGs?

Also, he's just like AV in that you cannot count on him to play more than 2/3 of a season. The dude just isn't reliable.

I'd rather re-sign Ellington, who's younger, bigger, and has many of the same attributes that Gibson does.
