Ill just point this out, I totally agree with you guys not figuring out Blatt's moves tonight. I didn't either on some games last season, I was knocking my head over and over again saying to myself - doesn't he not fucking see the game?. And guys, the man proved me wrong time after time, and to be honest - sitting one of your BIG 3 guys on the bench the entire 4th and then giving him 2 seconds to take the rebound - Thats called COACHING. its not all about calling plays and forming formations. He does everything for a reason and i bet he has many.

I just can't understand all this bitching and whining about coach Blatt's decisions, it might be more sufferable after a loss, but after getting a W at fucking san antonio, against the fucking spurs who were on a roll...
grow up people!!!
Kyrie had to become basketball jesus to get this win though.

Blatt's 4th quarter coaching left a lot to be desired, but how amazing was that KI inbounds play to send it into overtime? He was so open on the first look that he didn't even know what to do, and had enough time to take another dribble and still put up the open look!
What great plays? Kyrie being Super Saiyan goku and hitting shots on the whole Spurs team?

Blatt was 100% a hindrance to the team in the 4th and Idk how anyone could say otherwise

Agreed. There were several in-bounds plays that worked really well, including the open look Mozgov got at the end of the first half.

I'm not saying I was happy with Blatt in stretches, but his players didn't give up on him. And it's hard to get your top players to trust you more than when you draw up that play for KI that tied it.

except the kevin love reason..i'm perplexed about that one..

Love and Mozgov needed to sit because they both sucked tonight, but they both sat for far too long.

Tonight will be another learning point for Blatt.
i hope so..we can't depend on kyrie going bonkers every games in the playoffs..

I'm sorry to tell you guys but there are a lot of factors that we are not aware of, that Blatt is taking under his consideration (who knows, maybe he was trying experimental lineups to see how the spurs respond, preparing the ground for a possible later match up at the finals ). He is a living legend in Israel for his midas like success, but still there are some guys who think they know more basketball than him or know everything about the game dynamics while sitting on a couch and watching the game on TV.
show a little respect, the Cavs right now look like the scariest team in the league, and like it or not Blatt has a part of that (even if you think it's small).
If you can't give props to a coach after a W at the spurs, no matter what his decisions were in game, because he lives the game at the court and we watch it on TV, you really deserve mike brown again...

If this is true then it makes sense about Love.

Both teams went small and were content with it. It's not like Pop dug up Splitter and Baynes for crying out loud. That 4th quarter lineup never let the game get out of hand, like it did in Atlanta. Shumpert played good D. Tristan switches out well on guards even though Parker made some shots. Kevin Love may have been hurt and was shooting 2-10. Was James Jones 2-10? He didn't even get abused on D that much.

I am on Blatt's side mostly because I'm sick of idiots like Skolnick try to perpetually criticize his strategy. He was bitching about Thompson being out there over Love on the last play but guess what, Thompson sets good screens and is more physical.

@Ophir, everybody can make mistakes and everybody does.
Yes, even coach Blatt.
He obviously has a reason for making the decisions he made, but that doesn't mean he took the right ones.
No matter how big of a legend he is, he's gonna make mistakes just like any other human on the planet. His greatness is learning from those mistakes.

I certainly don't know more basketball than Blatt. And I am a huge fan. But what he did tonight didn't work and made no sense to me. I would shut up had it worked, but it didn't.
He made mistakes, it's very clear and he'll probably tell you that himself. It doesn't mean he doesn't know basketball, it just means he is human and sometimes makes bad calls.

All of this is an illogical appeal to authority and frankly beneath this board's standards for posting.

show a little respect,

...c'mon on man... are you serious?

You're not a Cavs fan.

One thing people are still completely ignoring is that Blatt's greatest strength is as a late game motivator when we are down. Don't you see the fire in Kyrie's eyes and the intensity. Some day you will appreciate what you have in Blatt, one of the greatest winners in European basketball history...

Was that Blatt or Kyrie high on his own drug since he was killing

What everyone is complaining about is the benching of love and moz, but it was clearly not their game, I think TT played a solid game on D. and instead of focusing on the bad side and saying that "kyrie bailed Blatt", why not take the good parts like those inbound plays that even a smart and well coached team like the spurs couldn't handle. or the fact that the Cavs seem to soak Blatt's winning mentality and clutch excellence.
I'm not saying he is perfect - no one is, but come on we just beat the champs in their court...
When we lose it's because of Blatt and when we win it's inspite of Blatt.
