I'm absolutely floored by the way Blatt conducts himself on and off the floor. He's got charisma but also fire. He doesn't strike me as someone who is trying to be a head coach, but is a head coach by nature. There's so many coaches in this league who don't personify that.

A breath of fresh air.

To me Blatt was as big a move this offseason as LeBron or Love. I think he would have won 45 games with last year's team.
He really does seem like the perfect coach. He has such a natural understanding for the game and he can relate to individual players well.

don't know what caused us to tighten up the screws, but our 3 points closeouts were much, much better after leaving jared dudley open for most of the game. even with scrubs, we wiped the floor with the bucks starters once they started hustling on closeouts

Blatt has been the nucleus for this perfect storm so far. It's too early to jump the gun, but look to Blatt as being the centralized reason why this team will bring it on a nightly basis, irrespective of the personnel on the court.

He's really a fantastic communicator. He's obviously a really smart guy, but he uses very clear, simple words, and speaks very directly. He's not one of those coaches/guys who gets riles up and says something that really doesn't make sense.

We've all considered how much more attractive the franchise is with LBJ, but if Blatt's reputation grows, playing for a great coach will be a big plus as well.

A great teacher makes hard concepts simple. I feel like Blatt is a great teacher. Brown is the worst type of teacher because he makes easy concepts hard to learn. This is like night and day.

Brown with this team mostly third string would be like. "Okay you are the third stringers? Well just play defense and watch this Youtube video on my phone of a Offensive play I found... Hold on it Is freezing, Damn Oh well good luck guys!"

It's only been a couple of preseason games, and we've been missing some people, but it's amazing to me that we haven't looked disorganized at all, despite having not only a completely new offensive system, but a whole bunch of guys who've never played together. We should look like we're going through a major adjustment period, especially given that we have more offensive talent than basketballs, but we don't. It's such a change from watching Scott and MB implement their much more simple offenses, and still seeing the players just not get it for an entire season.

Part of that is a testament to the high bb I.Q.'s of LBJ, Andy, Love, etc., but part of it has to be Blatt's ability to teach effectively. I'm really looking forward to the point where they've mastered what he wants to do. We have the potential to have a Spurs-quality offensive scheme, but with more talented players. That's almost frightening.

Defensively, I think we're going to play a lot more zone than people suspect. Still be primarily M2M, but even the teams that play it the most only play it about 10-12% of the time. I think we may be above that, and may switch into and out of it a lot, maybe even within the same possession.

Brown said we are going to install this defensive system first over the course of two years and then we will learn some offense. Problem was no one saw any results until the end of the season. He tried to reach the team via frustration from losing instead of getting a taste of winning.

Blatt on the other hand is installing his system piecemeal, and pricing to guys early hours moving the ball is going to help them succeed individually and collectively. He put in the way stuff first and then we'll add further wrinkles as time goes on.

Brown's system relies on trust over a long period of time. Blatt s system actually self reinforces trust as you can draw a straight line from running it to winning. Last night the actions ran out and had so much success that they started thinking they were all stars and began playing one on one. Then they saw that wasn't working so they went back to moving the ball. It was awesome. I love watching these plays. This team is definitely going to change nba culture in a big way.

LMAO at the thought of Blatt being an assistant behind Steve Kerr in GS.

Half way through camp the Warriors would be like "I think we're paying the wrong guy."

Blatt is amazing, his press conference last night was fantastic. He's a top level coach for sure. Kerr's offense is the only one more efficient than ours in the preseason though. The man is no slouch.
