Day 1 Draft Thread [Rounds: 1]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I see the Buckeye fan haterade that was getting sipped on last night to hate on Peppers has flipped to Anti-Buckeye haterade regarding Hooker..... :chuckle:

As I said yesterday; the hate for Peppers would have been much lower if he didn't play for UM. In turn, this board wouldn't have lost its collective minds about passing on an OSU guy. There's been takes in this very thread about how the Browns hate taking Buckeyes. I'm pretty sure this org, and you'll agree (or I just miss the boat)?, finally believes that the conference doesn't matter.

I mean, I could turn on the Ohio State film and tell you that "he's probably not THIS bad."

But you don't need to go on crusade and say stupid things because you hate Ohio State fans, for future reference.

Lol some of y'all are hilarious.

Someone really said Peppers is the single worst 1st round pick ever?

Good lord.
I'm actually pretty alarmed the amount of people who can't pick up on a clear as day sarcastic/intentionally hyperbolic comment.

Good Lord.

The top 5 talent all went in the top 5 picks. A lot of circle-jerking pundits had Allen as a surefire top 5 pick, but apparently NFL guys (who have more information than fans or pundits), saw him as a "top 17" pick.

I don't agree conceptually with after the fact characterizations of "value" based on pre-draft speculation and mocks.
I get what you're saying, but there is no way to me that Mitch Trubisky is the second most talented player in this draft. Nor do I think Fournette had any business being drafted ahead of Adams, Allen, and quite a few others.

Just because an NFL team makes a selection doesn't validate the prospect. I think the Browns alone have taught us that over the years. Manziel likely wasn't even a top 100 prospect in his draft. And I can tell you for sure he wasn't 22nd.

We won't know who really were the best prospects for quite a few years. So I agree with you there that just saying "there was a top X talent sitting there" isn't a fool proof statement. I think the poster just meant he perceived his value as top 5 and for him that likely stings. I view Allen as the 3rd best player in this draft so it stung for me to not take him at 12. Could be way off. I thought Joekel was going to be a stud. He has certainly shown to not live up to his draft position at all.

This board is absolutely on edge today and I'm loving it. :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:
There's a new sheriff in town

@Real Deal

But really Peppers is one of the most polarizing players in this draft. Drafting he or any of the QBs in round 1 was likely to really divide people on expectations.

I think we can all agree and be happy with Garrett:)

I'm pretty content today. Upset about Hooker, but I'm just a damn Browns fan, hope is all we have. But I will say this, it's time to sack up and get behind the Peppers pick. Remember, we're the sheep. We cheered for Johnny fucking Manziel.

This is the worst thread on the board now. Good job!
