Day 1 Draft Thread [Rounds: 1]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not that it matters, but I loved all the Browns picks. I would have been hesitant to pair Peppers with Reshad Jones, but as a football player, I like him quite a bit.

Some of the questions being asked in that press conference are just embarrassing. People giggling like little girls when Peppers was asked if he'd participate in the "O-H-I-O" cheer. I don't GAF what college any of these guys played at once they're drafted, and it sounded like Peppers thought they were stupid questions as well.

And yes, it was Grossi who asked one of those.

Peppers handled it well, laughed about it, and said, "No, absolutely not." Then Myles Garrett piped in and said to the reporters: "You all are wrong." Garrett was later asked to recite some of the poetry he's written. He declined politely. WTF!

On the plus side, the Browns let the trio talk to the media for quite awhile. Still going 25 mins later.

I really like the way all three of those guys sound. Peppers and Garrett in particular just sound mature, and all business. Liked that Garrett knew we were opening the season playing Pittsburgh, too.

I'm very happy with the way all 3 handles questions. Garrett is extremely impressive.

I like how Peppers carried himself in that interview and I can see why the Browns liked him... here's to hoping it works out. Not concerned about attitude with any of these guys though.

This board is absolutely on edge today and I'm loving it. :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

Leave it to the Browns to make us all hate each other. At least we know we are all equally passionate about sharing in the misery.

Breakdown of Day 1 trades. I'm not sure what the wise guys at Harvard say about pick value in future years but I used the traditional "1 round later than it would have been this year) figure.

The early trade-ups show the team moving up winning according to the traditional chart. The Bears just barely won it. On the Harvard side, moving down won, and SF won BIG. I didn't realize it at the time but both the Chiefs and the Texans moved up the exact same number of spots to get their quarterbacks, but the Bills squeezed an extra pick out of the Chiefs that we couldn't get out of the Texans. The Chiefs' 2018 is likely to be less valuable than the Texans' but the difference wouldn't be more than 20-40 points, and the 3rd that the Billsgot is way more valuable than that.

Later on in the round, the small steps up that teams made were shown to be losers on both value charts. Good news guys, the Browns lost by the least amount!

I think one thing we can definitely all agree with is Cleveland media is an absolute joke and the fact that they're still employed is disturbing. Just unrealistically bad at their jobs and unprofessional to boot

That conference gave me a headache with all them stupid ass questions. Terrible. I couldn't even finish.

I'll take all the takes I can get, but I wish we'd stop using the term take.

How does Ed Werder feel about pierogies?
