DeRosa traded

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Peralta 3B
Cabrera SS
Valbuena 2B
LaPorta 1B (eventually)

Man....I love Choo....I knew he was going to be a stud. Permanent RF`er with spot-up in LF.

Grady at CF
Still need a reliable LF`er....not sure Fransisco cuts it.
Victor @ C
Bullpen needs reworked.
Could use another SP or 2, Lee probably will be traded sometime.
DH - Still holding out for Hafner....but we'll see.

Michael Brantley will probably be our LF and future lead off man. If not him then Bryce Harper:chuckles:

For all of you upset about the haul...this kid is one hell of a pitcher. Hi fastball sits between 93-96 and he can reach back and get it up to 98. He needs to limit the walks, but he has the potential to be our closer of the future. Any baseball guy you talk to will rave about this kid, plus at 24 he has already been in the bigs for 2 seasons and show reasonable success.

PTBNL is going to be someone of value. Probably another pitcher, but you should expect one of their other top 10 prospects or high ceiling younger guys to be here.

Wow, whoever the hell Chris Perez is has to be pissed...I don't know if any relief pitchers would want to be traded to us with Carl Willis as their pitching coach..

Victor won't be playing catcher much longer. Him and Shoppach are just holding down the fort until Santana is ready.

C - Santana
1st - Martinez
2nd - Valbuena
3rd - Peralta
SS - Cabrera
LF - LaPorta/Brantley
CF - Grady
RF - Choo
DH - Hafner/LaPorta

The lineup won't be a problem. Turning it over to our bullpen, on the other hand. Maybe this White kid we drafted will turn into a stud closer. Anyone wanna take bets on that one?

Funny, I recall Shapiro saying he would never trade a position player for a reliever a few years back.

I'm very happy for DeRosa. He deserved much better than Wedge and now he's going to get it. He now has a real chance to win big.

What is very disturbing is the fact the real possibility exists of both Shapiro and Wedge residing over this team the rest of the year and making all of these sell off trades even though we know Wedge should be fired. I'm not comfortable with this at all. Shouldn't the Dolans at least get rid of Wedge right now and before he screws up more young kids?

I agree with some posts about the lineup. I feel we should call up at least LaPorta and Brantley right now as they are the future studs. Carrol should be relegated to the bench and keep Valbuena in there. Shoppach and Peralta should be packaged up in a trade. Gimenez can be the backup catcher for the rest of the year. Martinez should be the prime catcher for this year and call up Santana in September. LaPorta at 1B and Brantley in LF.

The Indians should be now planning for next year. I just don't want Wedge a part of that planning for the future.

Yeah, if we're throwing up the white flag, we might as well get our young talent up here and see what they're all about. I'm tired of waiting for LaPorta. I thought he got dealt a shity hand last time he came up; the dude couldn't get comfortable.

I'm losing faith in Ben Francisco lately. Seems he pretty one dimensional. I know you can't just take him out of his position, but at least make him share time with LaPorta.

And I think Pronk is coming around. He seems much more comfortable and his approach is soooo much better than it was at the beginning of the year.

Players I'm fed up with:
Raffey Perez
Matt Herges
Screw it, the whole bullpen
Kelly Shopach
Ben Francisco
Jhonny Peralta
Tomo Ohka
Ryan Garko (I'm tired of seeing a guy as big as him hit for less power than Jamey Carroll)
Josh Barfield
Chris Gimenez (I just don't think he is going to be that good)
Trevor Crowe

Players I think deserve their spot:
Vic
Grady
Choo
Pronk
Jamey Carroll (dude hustles his ass off and he is out most disciplined hitter. Put him at 3rd)
Valbuena
Asdrubal
LaPorta
Cliff (of course)
Jake Westbrook (hopefully)
David Huff
Laffey in the bullpen
Jeremy Sowers
Carl Pavano (I feel like he is hitting a small bump with fatigue; he'll be back)
Chris Perez (I'm excited to see him)
Mike Gosling (check out his year so far: 7-1 record. 3.77 ERA. 51 Ks to 18 walks.)

Alright, clearly this team frustrates the shit out of me.

Funny, I recall Shapiro saying he would never trade a position player for a reliever a few years back.

Maybe that's how we ended up with a shitty bullpen and starting rotation and a surplus of skill position prospects. We desperately need good young pitching so I'm okay with not getting another "can't miss" fielder.

Traded for chump change and a PTBNL? Cool.

It was a decent trade. DeRosa wouldn't resign and Chris Perez has a pretty good arm. Needs to work on control, and the PTBNL is a main part of the deal so I would assume it's one of the Cards' top prospects. We have enough batting on this team, we are top 5 in the AL in runs, just need to start developing some better relievers.

how could anyone be fed up with josh barfield? If anything be fed up with the fact that wedge is "romeo crenneling" him by not giving him a shot to play.

Back on topic: I cant wait to see this perez guy reach his full potential so we can trade him for even more potential.

what a fun circle.
