Destiny

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The only thing I'm annoyed about really is that you can only upgrade the ones Xur randomly allows you to? That could be very bad. It isn't ideal to have to re-level them but I can live with that part.

Yeah, I posted the same link above. I mean, if you have the option of turning in your maxed exotic for a newer version that you have to re-level up or keeping your maxed out version, then that's not bad and my original post earlier stands. What I thought was going on after reading your message was that all exotics were being reset and you had to hope Xur was there to offer the upgrade for your exotic and then be faced with the dilemma of leveling up again to get back to where it was originally or hope Xur would upgrade your exotic gear.
It wouldn't be bad if we didn't have to rely on Xur to "stock" the weapon that we want to upgrade. Now mind you he is bringing a fair amount of them with him, so it's not that bad, but if he gets stuck in a loop again like he has recently with chest pieces, then it pretty much ruins any plans to upgrade.

Xur is still going to sell a weapon, just as now, but he is also going to bring an assortment of weapons (6 I believe) with him, and 2 armour pieces per class, that you can then use an exotic shard, and 7k glimmer on to upgrade to 0 perks.

If it's the same as before, that's an additional 215,000 experience per exotic weapon to upgrade them. My 8 exotics I currently own, will cost me somewhere around 2 million experience. At 40k experience per day, going to be a long time...

That doesn't even touch the armour, my three helmets throw on an additional 645, and any new weapons found as well. It's a lot of xp.

But again, that's not even close to my problem with it, my whole problem is Xur being involved. That almost guarantees that my Hawkmoon will not be getting upgraded, which is a damn shame, since imo it's one of the best guns in the game.

The only saving grace in all this is that the only content you need the upgraded weapons for us the level 32 Raid.

I don't know much about the expansion besides seeing the trailer but Im really excited to do 2 raids a week now

And Xur's shinning example of why putting the exotic upgrade path through him is a horrible idea, he has plan C for the second week.

Yeah I would have been a lot more pissed if he hadn't finally brought something besides armamentarium for the titan. Seriously, I think he brought that chest piece like 6 straight weeks. :chuckle:

I'm ready for the new raid. I've already ran the raid on hard 5 times this week, 2 of the runs we didn't wipe a single time outside of gorgons. At this point I've maxed out nearly every raid weapon, so unless I randomly luck into the ghallahorn or ice breaker I really have nothing to do outside of playing the raid or crucible (only things I really find fun at this point).

Shit, Monday night one of my buddies needed a 6th person to help complete the raid on hard. I got in there and there was one 30, two 29's, a 28 and a 27 (I'm a 30 myself). I really wasn't sure if it would be possible, but figured fuck it, why not see what happens? Lo and behold, it took us a good 3 hours but we pulled it off. Just goes to show that if everybody is experienced and knows what they are doing, you really don't need to have a full team of 30's to beat it on hard.

I've been waiting for the Helm of Saint-14 for like 8 weeks since I specialize in the game with the Defender Titan. I didn't have enough coins to nab it at the time, and I've been languishing each week seeing Armamentarium again and again and again. I have maxed out Helm of Inmost Light and near max (prior to exotic shard) Insurmountable Skullfort. The only exotic titan gear I don't have is No Backup Plans and the Helm of Saint-14 (pre-DLC I should say).

Honestly, at this point (I'm level 29.75 - 117 light, only missing the raid gauntlets), I'd rather get the raid helmet from hard mode and just run with the Armamentarium. I'm itching to try hard, I've got Atheon's Epilogue, Vision of Confluence, Hezen Vengeance, Suros Regime, and Ice Breaker maxed at 300.

From the time I created a Warlock, until today, Xur always had Sunbreakers/chest armour. It was nearly 2 months I would guess.

I got lucky and got a helmet from Nightfall, but man how ridiculous.

Just like everything else, it's RNG based, so awesome.

Are we going to do the raid today? I'll be checking around 2, so let me know on here, and i'll be home at 4, if not I probably won't be home until 530 or so.

So....I saw Gymbos message late last night about hard mode, did you guys complete? I got on and my friend wanted to raid so we used that site I mentioned prior. We saw a few guys going for the flawless raider trophy, and tagged along. We are now apart of the .1%!!!!!!! Two of the guys had a slightly different strategy than ours and it helped immensely. We got Atheon down to 15% health on the 1st try in 45 or so min and one of the guys fell off the cliff. It then took 4 or so more attempts.

For the hell of it, we tried it on hard with a different group and got all the way to Atheon and couldn't do it. The 2nd group was literally the most clueless group on Earth. However, I do have the last checkpoint if anyone is interested in completing on hard. I have a party at 3 today. Not sure how late it'll run, but I should be free if anyone is interested.

Congrats on the Flawless Raid trophy.

I did raid last night, but with a bunch of rag-tag guys I've added over the last couple weeks. We cleared normal in 52 minutes. That's my personal best down from 72 minutes the previous raid.

Is the alternative strategy you used against Atheon to have everyone huddle up in the center platform within the Relic bubble effect (with weapons of light bubble behind that) and shoot at him? Because I've learned that strategy as well.

I still have a second character that I want to run on normal, but I also have two characters to run hard. I'm free like 4:30ish to run today. Ideally, I'd like to run hard on one of my characters and get potentially double rewards. I have most of this night free and dedicated to running the raid.

Yes to Atheon. I saw it in a video and I was going to mention it last week but didnt get a chance to run with you guys. Atheon only lasted two teleports. We also used a strategy with the Templar where we all huddled in that back corner near the cave. Everything that spawns either comes up the stairs from either direction. It took less than 10 minutes for the Templar.

We're going out tonight but I'm not sure what time yet. I should be available for something in the afternoon for a couple of hours.

I'm kind of salty. I got an Exotic helm from Xur for my Warlock, did the night fall, got a different Exotic helm, did it with my hunter and got another one for my Warlock. That timing was bad and a waste of strange coins.

But I'll be on for sure around 4 if we're still doing it.

Edit:
Something came up at the last minute. Wont be on until later.

So how do you get to 32? Do u need a whole new group or new armor, or can you just xUR ur current exotic to 32 with the shard?
