Destiny

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So how do you get to 32? Do u need a whole new group or new armor, or can you just xUR ur current exotic to 32 with the shard?
Although I don't know if it's been confirmed, but I would assume same deal with Raid armour again. They said they increased the drop rate for armour though.

I got a full set, all 4 pieces from the raid today, and a legendary sparrow. This game hates me. Where was this 2 months ago Bungie.

Yeah, we did. It took 6 hours. We went with 3 30s, and 3 29s. Most of us had not run the raid on hard before. You have to use completely different strategies. We were stuck by far, the longest on the Templar, but I think the strategy we ultimately settled on was the best and should be usable again for much quicker runs.

I've run the raid twice this weekend, once on normal and once on hard. All I need are gloves. I've gotten ascendant materials every drop with the exception of Atheon on hard. I got the ship. It's frustrating when everyone on the team is getting stuff but you over the course of my last 4 raids.

I don't want to be left behind for the DLC, but I cannot hit the 30 level limit. I would like to try hard again today, even just up to the Templar as that's where gloves drop...

Yea im right there with you. I keep getting gloves. I did however get the last word which im not gonna complain about.

I can get my hunter to lvl 29 if I upgrade my armor ifyou need me to.
though im not quite sure how useful a 29 hunter will be on hard.

If possible, would anyone be interested in finishing Atheon on hard? I've tried repeatedly with strangers at random ass hours but it just doesn't work.

I'll be on for most of the rest of the night so I'm willing to try anything.

Ill be on between 7 & 730 if you guys would like to attempt a raid. I ended up finishing on hard, but want to help anyone out before the DLC comes out. I may have one more friend as well as well if thats ok.

So I've just started into this on XBone and have a basic understanding of the game, but could anyone do me a great favor and summarize the end-game? How are levels achieved at the higher end? I remember something about it being related to gear only? Similarly, what are the materials to collect, what are they used for, end game differences between classes, etc.? Is most of the content solo-able? I don't play regularly or on a schedule enough to level with someone, and at lvl 9 have found it to be doable solo so far, but will I have to change that pre-raid? What are strikes, and how do they differ from the missions? Is this game pretty much all end-game centric, as in I should just rush the leveling content?

After you hit level 20, the gear has light. The amount of light on the gear you have will get you to higher levels. Now, the gear you get in the raid and also the Iron banner ( a week long event) will only get you to level 30. Also an exotic will give you 30 light. So say you have a blue rare chest. that will only take you up a level. all blues may take you to 23 or so but the only way to get to 30 is through the raid or that week long event.

Materials got alot easier the past week or 2. Accendent shards and energy will upgrade your legendary armor and weapons. Energy-weapons, shards-armor. Be careful what you use your shards on incase your only going to be using that armor/weapon temporarily.

The only difference in the classes that I have seen is the specials.

You have to do raids and the weekly's with people. It's not hard to find a group if you get the destiny App.

Strikes are just bigger missions IMO. They will give you more gear/exp...im guessing. The weekly heroic mission and weekly nightfall mission are both strikes and when your high enough level you'll want to do those.

The basic post 20 strategy, is to get marks. Do Strike playlist, play crucible, do public events (destiny public event tracker if you're looking to do this), and use those marks to buy legendary gear from the Vanguard.

Make sure you do every bounty you can (it's pretty easy to do 5 or 6 in an hour) to get your rank up.

When you hit the plateau levels, ask some of the guys on here to help you out to get you through higher level content, to get you either strange coins to buy your first exotic, or pull you through the Raid.

For all blue armour, light 15 on each, you will be able to hit 24 to do the strike playlist at the highest level, so you can get your first legendary piece. After that, with 3 blue pieces, and a legendary, you can hit 25, and be pulled through the raid by some rcfers, or friends.

Then you pray to RNGesus, get some Raid gear, get up to the high 20's, start getting your exotic (unless you got lucky and already nabbed an exotic).

For example, casually playing a Warlock, I got it from creation to level 28 within two weeks, only buying legendaries, and doing the raid. The main thing is having people who are willing to help you out with stuff that is above your level. If you don't, because of the mark caps, you will hit some roadblocks.

Good luck.

Man, I can't wait to get home and play the new DLC. I looked at it for a little bit before work this morning and beat the first of the new Eris quests. It's pretty awesome.

You need Vanguard Commendations in order to buy the new helmet and new weapons. Each time you level up the Vanguard you get a Commendation. The cost for the new equipment is still the same. But the new gear has max light of 33. I bought the new helmet and gloves on my one character and will buy the boots with my other. I'm currently using the Armamentarium as my chest piece, so I'll max out at 129 light (or 30.75)

I also got the new Vanguard void machine gun from leveling up my Vanguard rep. The base damage is much higher. The perks are eh, but I'll take it.

I'll be on later tonight to play, if you guys want to team up for the new strike or weekly stuff.

Welp, I got the boots and gloves from the vangaurd. I got a random chest piece with 33 light from a decoding package I got. All I need now is an exotic helm. Hopefully Xur will be selling one this weekend.

I'm stuck at work until midnight, I'm jealous of you guys right now.
