Forget about it. Not gonna happen..
I was a huge KJ fan going into the draft. Actually wanted the Cavs to take him with their pick before they won the lottery. On the downside since he slipped to 2nd round he only signed a 1 year contract and will be a restricted free agent next summer.

As for Dion he just looks very discouraged esp at the end of games out there with scrubs. He's a talented kid but his style of play isn't everyone's flavor. It's been a struggle to get the big 3 to gel let alone the role players. Even a vet like Mike Miller still hasn't found his way yet on this team. At this point I'm just hoping the team starts to win consistently and Dion eventually falls into his role.

Month GP MIN FGM FGA FG%
October 1 5.3 1.0 2.0 50.0
November 11 8.1 1.5 3.1 47.1
December 11 10.4 2.2 4.8 45.3
January 15 9.0 2.2 4.7 46.5
February 6 9.6 1.7 4.5 37.0
March 14 10.0 2.2 5.4 40.8
April 5 7.3 2.2 3.2 68.8
Except it isnt true.

I don't have the first clue what these numbers are supposed to mean. Because if that's supposed to be Dion Waiters averages over last season, that's not them. So instead of trying to decipher the code, why don't you just tell us.

I mean I'm looking at them and I legitimately have no idea. The minutes, the games played....I have no idea who this player is. Because last time I checked GP means Games Played. And whether going by last season or his rookie season, that's not him. Same goes for minutes, which I've always taken to assume average minutes per game.

So, again, no clue what you're trying to show here.

Well, that's the thing he signed a 1 year contract, he's not gonna stay there..
If we can't sign him this season we should look at signing him next season.
He would fit us like a glove

One guy I am thinking of, in part because the Cavs just played Indy, is CJ Miles

I would trade Dion for Miles all day long. Dion is younger, more athletic, higher ceiling and just an overall better basketball player. With all of that being said, I'd STILL take Miles over him in a heartbeat. I was a big fan of CJ when he was here. He is a TEAM player and he embraces the role. He is well liked and respected throughout the league. CJ is the kind of player that will do whatever it takes to win basketball games and is a TEAM FIRST player. Ive tried to be a Dion fan since the day we drafted him. I respect his toughness. I just can't root for him anymore. His attitude flat out SUCKS. He is brash and cocky. He complains about every single call. Could his attitude change as he matures? Sure it could. I just doubt it ever will.

OT: Apparently CJ Miles is also a Filipina porn star. I got a nice surprise when i was trying to google his stats. lol-

I understand the feeling, but if the Cavs wanted CJ Miles over Waiters, they would have traded Waiters for cap space and kept CJ last summer. I don't think that much has changed in the past few months.

I think it would take a pretty good offer to make the Cavs give up on Dion right now, and those kind of offers seem less likely to arrive when Dion is in the dumps. Once the starters are functioning, the team will spend more time on Dion and get stuff worked out.

I think this is helpful.

Lebron and Kyrie don't mesh-they worked on it.

Kevin Love doesn't look like himself-getting more touches down low and looking more comfy.

The defense sucks-defense is looking better and better and the Cavs are using it to control the pace.

I'm seeing a pattern here. Blatt has been doing his job and figuring things out step by step. I'm gonna trust him on this too. I see Dion stopping his complaining to the refs as a baby step toward becoming a really good team long-term.

The CAVs, in my opinion, aren't in a rush to "resolve" the issues with Dion, and as you allude to are willing to let the situation play itself out. Blatt is systematically building this team, and with what looks like LBJ and KI being on the same page, with KL slowly finding a role, Marion/Any/TT filling in it appears to be working.

The issue with Dion is does HE want to settle into a role with this team, which is a defensive orientated guard who will get about 10 shots or less a game? If the answer is yes, he has a greater chance at being on the roster in March.

The interesting part is even if he does settle into a role, if the right trade situation arises they may move him anyway.

At this point he certainly isn't a vital piece of the team going forward. Comparing him to how Kyrie is playing of late, and how he is buying in, illustrates how far Dion has to come in the immediate future.

The thought of taking Miles over Waiters is kind of mind-boggling. I mean, talk about a streak shooter...

It's absolutely mind-boggling....And the Cavs organization wouldn't do it in a million years. I'm sure they could get much for for Dion than CJ Miles.

What I'm saying is that I would do it. (Probably a good idea that i'm not the one making the decisions). Not that this makes me an expert on anything but like a lot of you, I've coached my son's sports teams since he was 5 years old (Now 13). What i have learned in the past 8 years is that I will take a kid that's willing to play any position, bust his ass for the team and sacrifice himself over a bratty know-it-all kid that won't listen to shit and doesn't care about anything other than his own stats and status 10 times out of 10, no matter how much better KID B may be. I understand that the ultimate goal is to win a championship. I just don't think Dion makes us any better on either end of the floor. That's when i typically start looking at other variables and contributions a player can add to a team and IMO, Dion adds nothing positive.

David Blatt-
"I don’t mind if he takes shots. Dion is a shooter and a scorer and he needs to take shots. What I liked was Dion’s involvement and his intensity on each and every play. He defended extremely well. He took the shots, for the most part, he needed to take. He’s our scorer off the bench and that’s what he needs to do."

Dion doesnt have a shot count limit.

Blatt i also a fan of Dion, so i think he wants him to succeed. Hell, where Blatt's team is stuggling is the place where Dion can excel (bench play). I think we'll see Dion start falling into a groove within the next few weeks. He looks like he's still thinking a litle bit too much out here. Just let it fly Dion.

Windy just said on WKNR that teams are scouting Waiters and that the Cavaliers have floated his name out there in trade talks. Also said that ESPN will have a report in a day or two about their trade targets.

Just an FYI.

If he's traded, it better be for a starting center that can block shots.
