It's good to see Waiters lead the team in shot attempts tonight. A well deserved reward for the Cavs most under-appreciated bricklayer.
So, it's acceptable for Waiters to lead the team in shot attempts (more attempts than LeBron, Kyrie, & Love) when his shot is clearly off, just as long as he plays well in other areas? Interesting, but I'm going to disagree with you.He also had 6 assists (second most on the team) and 3 steals, so he was contributing in other ways. I'm not even a huge fan of Dion the player, but seriously, don't just ignore the good and focus on the negatives when he was taking most of his shots within the flow of the offense.
Again, Dion was at 50% shooting until garbage timeSo, it's acceptable for Waiters to lead the team in shot attempts (more attempts than LeBron, Kyrie, & Love) when his shot is clearly off, just as long as he plays well in other areas? Interesting, but I'm going to disagree with you.
I like my idea better:
Put a cap on Waiters shot attempts except during heat checks. Why? He's extremely inefficient and doesn't help the Cavs at all with his scoring. Let Waiters contribute in other ways, as you said, but leave the scoring to the actual scorers.
