Dwight Howard Saga

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This blows my mind.

A 6'11 265lb man, doesn't want to move to chicago and play with the current defending MVP because it is too cold!?

If this was in England, the media would destroy the guy for saying such a thing, is he getting heat from espn or anything for that ridiculous statement?

The NBA won't let these assholes win multiple championships, if even 1. The egos can't coexist for more than FIBA play. Whatever.

If Dwight thinks Chicago is too cold someone should show him where New Jersey/Brooklyn is on the map.

At least #6 was a ring chaser, after turning down the trade to Chicago we can't say the same for Dwight.

It's an obvious diversion to the question at hand. It's like when an ugly chick asks you to come hang out, you make up some reason other than YOU UGLY BITCH.....unless you're just plain mean.

i hate these nba superstar divas... if he actually goes to the heat that would be the biggest joke ever... the mentality of these bitches deserves another lockout and a new cba which includes a franchise tag.

Despite Orlando's efforts to appease Dwight Howard by acquiring Monta Ellis, GSW owner Joe Lacob has no interest in the deal, sources say.

On First Take this morning, the topic was on Dwight and they were talking about something from a source that said if he stays in Orlando, he says who gets to be the coach and GM. Orlando is really reaching for straws if this is true.

No, just no. A fanchise tag would be a terrible thing in the NBA. A bigger advantage to the home team sure, but not a clause saying you can't leave your team ever. That's just stupid. If a team is well managed then it can put the talent around their star, and thus keep them on their team, if not then the player should leave. The owners have no loyalty to the players, so why should the players have loyalty to the franchise.

I am not in support of all this BS that is going on now, but it is just wrong to try and make a player stay on a crappy team. Look at all the players that have left in the last three years.

LeBron - Cavs
Melo - Nugs
Dwight - Orlando
Amare - PHX
Bosh - TOR
Paul - NOH
DWill - Utah

what do all of those teams have in common? No talent on the roster outside of the star.

LeBron - roster filled with a revolving door of old underachieving vets and Mo Williams.

Melo - Nene and then what? Not to mention trading away talent for nothing (Camby)

Dwight - aging vets, three point shooters, Jameer Nelson and that's it. No room to improve, cap strapped.

Amare - Notoriously cheap owner (Johnson, Rondo, etc), aging star next to him, Owner didn't even offer a max deal

Bosh - Terrible situation, taxed way too much, made the playoffs 2x?

Paul - Terrible, terrible team, no owner, no support

DWill - cheap owner, bad team

Looking at those reasons why wouldn't those players leave? LeBron is the only one with a legitimate argument towards staying with their team. The way these players are going about it is bad, but they have real reasons to leave.

Some of these are just wrong.

Melo should read: Owner who tried everything including bringing in Iverson, followed by a great trade to bring in Billups. Sadly, it was Carmelo underperforming year after year in the playoffs that led to that teams problems, not the team.

Amare: Owner who refused to give him a max deal is currently being proven correct in that choice. Amare wasn't/isn't worth max money as this season is showing. Furthermore, he was at no point the best player on his team and his consistent no-effort on defense also was a primary reason for his team's failings in the playoffs.

D-Will: This one intrigues me. Here is a team that has consistently drafted really well and after losing Boozer didn't just sit on their hands, but went out and got Al Jefferson who is probably an even better player. Yet, the owner is cheap and the team is terrible? That team has infinitely more talent than the one he is on now.

I bet you the Knicks are regretting that max contract now.

Melo has no reason to complain. Denver gave him a damn good squad to build around. Everyone else you named had a legit reason to leave though.

Pisses me off so bad that Orlando has been Garbage except for one year. The year their role players played way over their heads and now they are all garbage and underfperforming everywhere they have gone. One hot streak with Skip to my Lou.

The Jazz owner is possibly cheaper than Savar. They haven't been in the luxury for years because he doesn't want to spend.

Amare may not have been worth the max, but look at the trash they decided to sign instead of Amare.

Carmelo isn't a superstar, and his teams never had enough talent bar one season to go far in the playoffs. Are you really trying to make an argument using AI as a positive argument?

Don't forget the one year one of their players was on PED's, and when he got caught he isntantly went to crap.
