Dwyane Wade Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
"As for Wade, rival executives are split on whether he and Riley will be able to reach a compromise that will keep him in Miami. One Western Conference executive told CBSSports.com there are strong indications Wade is gone, with Cleveland and the Lakers chief among his likely destinations. Another Western team, however, is betting on Riley to find the middle ground. "I don't see why they'd argue and fight after what they've both done for each other and for that franchise," the exec said."

It's the part where the exec says: "I don't see why they'd argue and fight after what they've both done for each other and for that franchise," as to why Riley would trade Wade.

It makes sense for all parties for Wade to get his $20M/year, just not in Miami.

Also, just an FYI; Wade hasn't opted out yet. Their meeting is today; the NBA Draft is tomorrow.

I don't care what happens.. The Miami boards are absolutely freaking out and I'm loving every second of it.

Between D. Wade's dad wearing a Cavs shirt and Wade following a guy who tweeted him a pic in a Cavs jersey, this may very well go down as either one of the greatest modern day trolls of all time - or he's coming to Cleveland. Take your pick.

I still can't see any of it happening, but I can't explain how good it feels to watch Miami suffer. Somehow, that just seems right in the grand scheme of things.

If we trade the pick or do a draft and stash Wade is realistic. Basically after the draft we will know what we are up to. I really am not ready for another insane off season. However here it comes.

Why not? Then we can just amalgamate the happenings (as well as the emotions) of this season's off-season with last season's off-season, blend the Final appearance of 2015 with the Finals appearance of 2016 and make one big, 8-disc long DVD box set: "The 24 Months That Changed Cleveland - NBA Champions 2016."

In the long run, Wade leaving helps free agency in 2 years for Miami.

That said, this is going to be a fascinating offseason and interesting to see how it all plays out.

Oh man if Wade does leave, they are going to keep their pick next year, then miss out on Durant the following season, is it realistic that Minnesota may actually get a good pick out of the throw in Miami pick? What year is it unpretected?

I'd love DWade in Cleveland more for the audacity of it all and the wailing to the 10th Power by Miami and Riley than the practical application than anything else. It would be glorious.
