ESPN Player ranking - The Cavs players

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Two things: I think that Noah is a tad overrated, I believe that Varejao when fully healthy and playing the way he is capable of playing is just as good of a player, especially if u take into account per dollar. I'm curious as to how much his contract extension will be worth.

I'm also curious as to whether or not you guys would rather have Anthony Davis on this team taking age out of the equation or Kevin Love? I'd take Davis with no hesitation.

Durant's ranking went down because of his injury. Not really a big deal.

He's not though. Noah just won DPOY and for good reason. Varejao isn't even close to capable of that.

It's somewhat of a big deal for the reigning MVP.

They said he had a 9.94 rating before the injury. The rankings are based on what a player will do this season, and Durant is missing about a month and a half of it.

Dwight, the most overhyped player, year in and year out. Sure he is a dominant player but he has relied on his strength and athleticism is whole career.

Yeah... that's because he's still the league's most gifted athlete at the center position. I really don't get any of this, he's consistently been a top-5 or top-10 player in the NBA for eight consecutive seasons. There's plenty of more over-hyped players in the league than a potential first ballot HOFer.

His offensive game hasn't changed in 6 years. Still can't shoot free throws, still can't play with his back to the basket, still hasn't developed better court vision. All he has developed his entire career is his ego.

He's got one of the best back to the basket games in the NBA, beyond DeMarcus Cousins and Al Jefferson there really isn't many behemoths that can create shots with the ease Dwight Howard can on the block.

So there will be 20 players better than Kyrie this season?

Some posts got deleted, a poster went on a short vacation. Carry on.

Posts like these make Cavs fans look like complete idiots. I'm surprised, as a group, the moderators haven't gotten together to eSmack you for saying something so stupid and full of homerism.

Hey friend, there were a few things in my post that you obviously didn't take into account before calling me a complete idiot. I said Varejao is capable of having just as good of production as Noah when he is FULLY HEALTHY and when you take into account PER DOLLAR. Most of the time is Varejao completely healthy and playing at the same level as Noah? No. But he is capable at times to play at just as high of a level. Throughout his career he's had seasons where he is towards the top of the league in efficiency rating at his position especially if you were to look at per 48 minutes (don't forget hustle statistics like charges drawn). Again I'm not saying Varejao is a better player but it is also worth mentioning that he makes 3 million dollars less per year so that is certainly a factor to take into account. I agree that the 2012-2013 season is too small of a sample size for Varejao and more than likely if he would've remained fully healthy those numbers would've gone down closer to 12pts & 12 rebs per game. But the point remains, when Varejao was fully healthy and getting a large number of minutes he was capable of putting together a All-Star caliber season. Varejao likely doesn't have many good seasons left in him since he is now 32 but part of me would almost rather have him on our team at a likely 4-6 mil per year after this season than Noah in the future since he is due to make a ridiculous amount of money once his contract expires in 2016.

As a Bulls fan do you really believe that he is the 12th best player in the league? Even better than Aldridge?

MODS you can delete this post since it is no longer relevant.

Sorry for the continued non-Cavs player discussion, but I'll just leave this here...

I don't think #10 is a completely ridiculous ranking for him, but he's not in a class of his own among centers like he was a few years ago.
