So you feature Korver and the Cavs look like the GOAT team.
except he wasn't featured. Toronto played off and he got the ball. the same formula they been using for Korver.
Korver was winning his matchups so he got to play more minutes.

My 3-point stroke just went viral!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Korver said at the presser that There wasn't many opportunities with the the way Toronto guarded him. He then said Toronto had to change things and more opportunities opened up.

They also asked him about coming in cold all the time. Korver said if you miss. no one cares if you were stiff when you take that first shot.

One of the biggest perks of rest is Korver being able to keep that foot from becoming a problem.

He really is our secret weapon against GS adding Durant . I know it sounds funny to say but Korver can have a massive impact on our offense. Even in the game GS blew us out, I noticed they kinda sold out on.him a lot and we didn't really know how to handle it yet. But we've gotten so good at either using his spacing to attack the rim.or hitting him early and often if teams don't pay extra attention.

Watching this guy taking non 3 pointers and I feel like it's a waste and they should have just ran the same play farther from the basket. Between him, JR, and Frye etc. it just goes to show how different things are this time around compared to the "shooters" in Lebron's first time around that were brought in: remember Wally Szczerbiak, Donyell Marshall, and Damon Jones (I guess still with the team) anyone?

When they run that double off ball screen for Korver on one block with Kyrie/LeBron on the opposite wing, it's unguardable when executed with the correct timing.

The team knows it, too. LeBron was talking after one of the recent games about the impact Korver has on the offense. Basically saying it's huge.

I think of Korver like Ray Allen in Miami. He's basically the fourth member of a new Big Four for us. He draws so much attention from the defense and it really, really opens things up for other guys.

And if you let Korver go for just a moment, he'll blow up. Like he did in the second quarter of Game 4 yesterday with 16 points in that quarter.

He's going to be absolutely huge for our chances to repeat. I just hope he can stay healthy for the entire playoffs.

Korver finished Game 4 yesterday, instead of JR. That gives an idea of how much the team, and Lue, value him.

Why in the hell did this franchise draft Jason Kapono instead of Kyle Korver in '03 ??? We have been deprived of his great shooting ability for years....

There's not a doubt in my mind that if the Cavs drafted him in '03 he would have probably been like AV in terms of being a Cavalier essentially his entire career and LeBron's personal shooter...Could have had that 26 hangin in the rafters but we took Kapono :chuckle:

I remember being interested in them both along with Luke Walton - epic passing - but trying to talk myself into Kapono.

Then in some "get to know the new Cavs" article the question was asked: What would you want to be if you weren't an NBA player?

Most players said football player or rapper, Kapono said chef. That's when I gave up on him.

Korver is also one of those shooters that can keep you in the game just because they are feeling it. Crap possession and time running out and boom KK for 3 and another. Just like that and you are back in the rhythm. And also, JR and Frye. Role players that can kill you.

You mean the Raptors started keying on other options which opened things up for Korver?

Cavs ran some nice plays for Korver in the 1st half.. much more than they usually do. They even had LEbron screen for him twice, the 2nd time Lebron slipped the screen and post up the smaller player while Korver was acting as a Decoy.

2nd half Korver was used strictly as a decoy and he had 0 points other than the 2 FTs.. so yeah
We also didn't see that lineup with Love at Center in the 2nd half for some odd reason.
