I was for this trade but said it would get judged by this series alone.

And in that I was wrong. It failed. Wed be better off with Dunleavy and that pick right now.

Korver played a great game. Just missed some shots he usually makes.

I think unfortunately now they have to resign him and hope he is tradable at the deadline, unless they can sign and trade him. Keeping Delly and never going down the Dunleavy to Korver road might have been the best bet. Delly on a $9 million contract coming off a good playoff showing might have been a real good looking asset right now.

Yeah plus this was his first finals so it is fair for both Williams and Korver to have a hard time. These two are the last two players blamed for anything.

Or the more likely scenario of delly being played off the floor in the finals, for the second year in a row, becomes an albatross of a contract.

It would have been a gamble and resigning Korver will be too. Having the first round pick in our back pocket would be nice. Having Delly-shump-jr-korver-LBJ would have been nice tonight in the last two minutes on defense.

Delly in the game isn't stopping Kevin Durant.

And that first round pick is basically meaningless.

I gave this trade a B. I think it is more like a D now. Didn't need Kyle to win the East, and he came up small on the biggest shot in his life. That first rounder would have been helpful in a deal this summer.

Korver was brought in to provide high percentage 3 ball shooting and as the proclaimed "best ever" 3 point shooter he should have been able to knock down that shot that would have probably won us the game. Kyrie's outside shot kind of deserted him as well, and his "Mr. Clutch" designation got a lot weaker.

Golden State has done a great job refusing to let him get a feel for the flow of the game. Even his open shots look rushed compared his normal shot taking and he already had one of the quickest releases I've seen.

Definitely don't think the trade was a failure. Definitely would re-sign Korver and definitely think he can still help us beat Golden State for the next 2 years. Especially with a whole training camp and full season to play together and integrate him fully into the offense.

Like just because Korver hasn't had a shooting performance up to his standards in these 3 games doesn't mean I don't believe he could catch fire and be huge for us as soon as tomorrow night and definitely next year.

We can get better at using him, he can get better at fitting in.

I know for a fact that the 29th pick in 2019 or whatever is not going to be what prevents us from getting the piece we need to compete better with Golden State. If we can't add a player like that, it will not be because we came up short a late first rounder in 2019.

If it's really a big deal a team gets a first from us, and we are getting a player that could tip the scales back somewhat in our direction, then we can just give up 2021, which in my opinion is a way way way more valuable pick than the 2019 pick we sent that is protected.

Dude misses literally a shot and he's ruined.

Ok.
