If were talking about which role players we can let go and which ones to keep, Korver has to be on the keep list. Will likely be cheap, and is a high % 3pt shooter in a league that is literally all about 3s. He also at least is capable on D if he is placed on a slower guy.

Guys we should move on from are JR, Shumpert, Frye, Deron, and TT. Shumpert would be untouchable if he had any offensive game at all, but he just aint got it. If he commits to defense id keep him but he seems to not care about D all the time and his bad off ball D really erases all those cool steals he gets

To be fair;

We have one play to get him an open look. One.
Yeah, but we knew when we got him what our offense was.

I like Korver. I honestly think his defense is underrated. But he hasn't had the impact I had hoped in the playoffs. I initially gave the trade an A, but I think it's closer to a C-/D+ just because of the opportunity cost of what we could have gotten with that first round pick

Its the LeBron effect.

In ATL Korver ran around the court like a mad man using screens. Here hes been turned into a spot up shooter, just like everyone is. All you gotta do to guard that is stand still in one spot and work hard when the guy moves.

I don't understand what the fuck happened to make us so offensively inept. When LeBron was in Miami they came up with a plethora of ways to get Ray Allen open looks, and had a ton of ball movement plays.

For some reason we let our players stand in a spot and wait.

Sure, our offense is still great. It can be much more though if we had more of a playbook.

Wasn't any different 12 years ago. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

No. But it was when LBJ was in MIA.

Anyone have stats comparing the two offenses efficiencies? We're much more talented than those Miami teams.

Were not inept. I think that hints that our offense ran correctly just isn't good enough and sucks. I think what we have become is so predictable that its easy to guard. The fact that our playbook is so thin is a direct reflection of poor coaching, and shows the players simply don't listen to coaches.

Maybe we shouldn't have fired Blatt after all. Its like Lue is too afraid or too stupid to run plays for people not named Kyrie and LeBron.

Also and im just going to say it......LeBron didn't have any pull in Miami. Wade and Riley wouldn't let him hijack their team.

honestly that is the reason I think he came back

I think that you are missing the point. Our offense was good in game 2 and 3 where we scored over 100p in both games. The mean issue of this team is the defense and Korver is useless against the GSW, because he is old.

Boy I sure wish we could switch places with the Hawks/s

Its more that Korver becomes useless when LeBron isn't on the floor. Kyrie still has a long way to go in terms of finding shooters.

It's not LeBron's fault that korver is not running around the floor like a madman like we're accustomed to seeing

The fact is, we needed (still need) Korver to have one of those games where he goes five for seven from deep.

SUch a fucking terrible use of assets

Having someone to guard Durant would've been much nicer to have than this disappearing act

You assume someone that can guard Durant by themself is currently in NBA. Durant and Curry both require more than 1 on 1 defense. You can do the math from here
