Farewell, Richard Jefferson.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That corner three is absolute money.

Think he is the best back-up LeBron has ever had considering Heat ultimately went with Battier starting alongside LeBron.

The thing about RJ which makes him a good role-player is, he can contribute at all ends. May not be great at them but at least he shows that if his shot ain't falling, he can still contribute to the team and won't be a non-factor. The fact that he is a good dunker means oppositions would still be wary of him attacking the paint even when he ain't shooting well. Well Played, RJ!

He is our Battier

And playing the part quite well

Jefferson was talking during preseason how whenever there is an offensive rebound just cut to the basket and you'll be open. So far hes done it both games and got an easy layup. Guy knows the game and can fit in with nay line up.

The bench lineup of Delly/mo, JR, Jefferson, TT, Andy is a real nice lineup as a second string.

I could honestly see jefferson doing a James jones and just staying as lebrons back up for as long as possible

How big of a fucking steal this guy is?

I mean he could be a starter for 1/3 of the league.
This is not an old guy who came here to wave towels. He has a whole fucking lot left in the tank and he came here to help us win a ship.

On a team with Kyrie, Love, Mo and JR Smith, who would have thought the best 3 point stroke would be Richard Jefferson?

I am embarrassed i did not realize he has become such a fantastic 3 point shooter.

He was always a heady player with size and athleticism, but as his athleticism has faded to average, he really, really stepped up the outside shot.

ps, if this play keeps up i hope the rumors of RJ being gay are true so I can marry him. :chuckle:

The thing is... Not only is he knocking down the 3, but he can still put the ball on the floor and get the rim or slash... Still athletic...

With RJ, we don't need James Jones anymore.

I completely agree with you that I had no idea RJ's 3-pointer had become so good. I thought he was going to be Shawn Marion 2.0 before I looked at his stats last year and saw his 3pt%... and even then I doubted his ability to contribute. Between his athleticism that seems to still be there, and his outside shot, he's a great addition. I just hope we can limit his minutes so he's healthy and fresh all year long. The hardest part about aging isn't being able to bring it, but being able to bring it every night.

Also, I'm pretty sure he's gay. And, if he is, I hope he comes out while he's still playing.

. I hope he comes out while he's still playing.

That sideshow would be unbearable...I want the focus to be on Cleveland winning its first title.

EDIT: And I don't mean to sound insensitive, I just wouldn't want him making a huge public show of it.

To friends and family, by all means.

Between Love and RJ, could the Cavs develop the biggest gay following in the NBA?

This dude is so quotable. Tells it like it is and has wisdom.

I like that quote from Miami where he said that in the gym unguarded, he is mad when he misses. He will get plenty of open looks here.

I don't know whether it is Blatt's 2nd year or Jefferson/Mo or a bigger role for Love or LeBron, but we look to be moving the ball with decisiveness.

Damn, this is going to be a crazy year.

His athleticism is a bit less than prime, but in his prime he was a top 10 athlete, very much in the mold of vince carter.

Its because of vince carter and how he changed his game as he got older i feel he can play a useful role for 4 or so more years if RJ wants too.

The reason everyone was down on Jefferson the past five years was his contract, not his game. It got blown out of proportion because San Antonio seems to do everything right, but paying Jefferson like he was their third best player was definitely a cap busting move, which led to Jefferson's contract getting moved around to non-contenders like a negative asset. Golden State and Utah didn't actually want him. However, in San Antonio he did become automatic with that corner 3. Once that contract ran out, he was with Dallas, running offensive sets that fit his style of play.
