Farewell, Timofey Mozgov

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Said this in the game thread but it's worth repeating - Mozgov was excellent playing more than his usual 22 minutes. Would love to see him more, just his presence improves our defense so significantly.

You are right but he takes too many fouls to stay longer on the floor. It would be highly probable that he fouls out

There have been many many games where he only has 3 fouls but does not play in the fourth quarter because Blatt seems to prefer Tristan. Sure, there are some games where he'll have 4 fouls by the fourth quarter, but I don't think that should stop us from playing him in the fourth.

With Kyrie banged up the way he is, I think the Cavs need to play Shump/Delly, JR Smith, LeBron, Tristan, and Mozgov to close games.

Timo is a really tough guard for all of Chicago's bigs. He's shown the ability to finish through contact down low, and prevents Noah from leaving on Pick and Rolls. His sheer size makes him somebody that Chicago has to defend the entire possession.

I liked how we played Moz down the stretch, and I also think he needs to play more minutes in general.

BUT...the playoffs are a chess match--especially with evenly matched teams. So I like how Blatt is changing it up and looking for what is working each game. The Bulls will likely try to find some way to counter our small+Moz lineup, and I could see us going back to a larger lineup back in CLE.

JR, Shump, LBJ, TT, Moz...down the stretch?

It's so hard to tell with this series, but I guarantee that Thibs will find a counter. Lets hope that the Cavs come out ready to dictate the pace/intensity in game 5.

He probably does not want to play them together and prefers double T's energy on the boards

How awesome was that play where T-Mo scored and went off the court screaming - that was so sick to see him hype like that.

Really loved how he was playing in the 4th.
He was so emotional because Rose grabbed his arms and got away with it, and Moz ripped the ball away and still made the shot with Noah right there.

That was another example of how horrid the refs are at catching obvious fouls inside when the Bulls commit them.

At the presser this afternoon, Blatt said that his insertion of T-Mo in the 4th Q was just a feel thing, and when he brought TT back at the very end it was a feel thing too. Sure it wasn't the fact that the previous position Rose hit that contested three over him. Maybe he was "feel"-ing sick afterwards.

Considering multiple members in here, including myself, have begged Coach to give Moz more minutes, especially in the 4th quarter, it may be that Blatt finally received the word instead of having a feeling of some sorts.
