Re: Is Tyler Zeller a Natural Softy
I know many are down on Tyler's play, but I promise you, he is going to be a solid player on this team. His freshman year he came in at 220 pounds and was rail thin. I mean really thin. He got pushed around early in his career but each year he was at Carolina he got bigger, stronger and better.
He put in the work in college to get better each day and I promise you he is doing the same in the NBA. He is a true professional. When he first stepped on a college floor he was not really prepared for the difference in the game. But he worked hard and got better and better. He figured out his strengths and knew his limitations, but was smart enough to figure it out and he will do the same in the NBA.
I know in today's basketball we often want immediate results, but Tyler is not an immediate results type player. He is however the kind of player who will be better next year than he was this year and better the year after and the year after that. He will probably never be an all star but he will contribute and when his contract is up, you will want to resign him.
He is not a rah rah pump your fist after a made basket kind of player so don't expect that, but do expect him to go to work everyday and work at getting better. I expect he will play well tonight as the match up for him is somewhat favorable. Support this kid Cleveland, you will be glad you did.
