Fastlane Tonight - in Cleveland!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pretty much pure awesome tonight. The only subpar match has the biggest shock value.

Rumor on reddit is that Taker was hospitalized following the match

This was a great way to transition the new generation: Shield, Bray, Cesaro, Bryan.

Brock isn't worthy of what he did, unless they have him locked into a real wwe deal with more activity for a long time. I personally think this is how you can make Taker "retire" and have Sting come out tp challenge him and keep it open. Taker looked to be in bad shape, he had no muscle mass and wasnt moving well.

Oh and bless whoever bet on Lesnar, Bravado had Lesnar at +800.

This was what I took away from last night as well... truly the "end of an era". A changing of the guards, if you will. Bryan over HHH, Bryan over Orton & Batista, Cesaro over Big Show, The Shield over Kane & New Age Outlaws. The only real exception was Cena over Wyatt, but even in defeat Wyatt looked strong.

What a damn night. Such an amazing Wrestlemania from the intro with Hogan/Rock/Austin, the in-ring storytelling, the matches themselves, the shock value, and the overall production that was second to none. Kudos to the WWE Network for handling the traffic and not crashing. With the exception of a few second long glitches the quality was fantastic. I was entertained for 4 straight hours, which at the end of the day that's why we watch. I'm so pumped to see all of the fallout on Raw tonight that I'll even watch the pre-show.

In regards to Lesnar beating Undertaker... The only thing I can think of is Lesnar signed a contract extension. I didn't prefer to see the streak end, especially at the hands of a part timer like Lesnar, but the "WTF" moment is what makes wrestling so fun. Mark Calloway (The Undertaker) has always said he wanted the streak to end with a loss. So, I'm assuming he chose Lesnar as the one to beat him. I think he earned the right to make that decision. I'm also not going to be one of those fans that throws a hissy fit bc The Undertaker didnt lose to a young dude like Reigns or Wyatt like alot of the IWC wanted. Bray Wyatt has already arrived, IMO, let him do his own thing without being tied to the streak. Reigns has the look and feel of a top talent, but considering we haven't even seen him solo yet everyone needs to pump the breaks on anoiting him the next megastar.

Bryan finally overcame The Authority and had his moment after 8 months of build, Cesaro turned face and got a push, The Streak ended, and some nostalgic moments with the legends. Couldn't have asked for much more.

Side note on ending the Streak; It HAD to be a proven guy. You can't let a Roman Reigns end the streak because from then on, he's not only tied to it, but there's no going back to being a fan favorite. You are now the bad guy, and Brock Lesnar can handle it.

Undertaker went to the hospital after the match last night with possible concussion and neck injury

i think he's done and I hate that because he's my favorite wrestler all time and one of the few main reasons I continue to watch wrestling

I'm pretty sure I said somewhere here numerous times that Lesnar would break Taker because he's too stiff. Yeah Lesnar is a huge draw, but dude seriously needs to take it easy.

My question is what do they do with Lesnar now? I see Bryan feuding with Orton (again) seeing as how Orton has a rematch clause and wasnt the one pinned by Bryan to lose his belt. So, if Lesnar is sticking around for a bit, which after last night's result I would sure hope so... I would like to see him feud with Batista for #1 Contendership. Lesnar goes on to beat Batista, and starts a feud with Bryan for the WWE WHC belts leading up to Summerslam. Now THAT would be best for business.

Taker did not look good at all last night. He looked like he aged 10 years over the last 12 months. I'm not happy the streak ended with a part timer. But I bet that it was Takers decision. He signed off on it at the very least.
I'm more excited about Raw tonight than I've ever been. Does Taker retire. Does Sting challenge him. Do they ignore the reports about his concussion.

Lesnar certainly wasn't the "ideal" one to break the streak. A younger or full time performer would've been "better". But I don't think Lesnar was a bad choice.

The legit criticism is that I would rather have believed it was possible that he was going to lose heading in. During the 1st of the back-to-back HHH matches, there were a couple times when I legit thought HHH was going over. During the 2nd one, I was pretty confident Taker would win, but there was just enough doubt to keep me interested. I barely paid attention to this match. Had it ended 5 minutes earlier, I might not have been watching. If the streak was going to end, let me know it might end beforehand.

Overall, I was a little underwhelmed. HHH-Bryan match seemed slow to me. The 1st half was all rest holds. Cena-Wyatt was good, and I don't mind Cena going over. The Not Royal Rumble had a few nice spots, but I can't say it was enthralling. The main event was good, but I was still contemplating the Taker match to really enjoy it. The best match was the Pre-Show, IMO.

If Lesnar stays, he has to get win back vs Cena. Which is one reason why Cena won last night. If he loses to Lesnar, that would be 3 straight feuds (Orton, Wyatt, Lesnar) where he comes up short.

The good thing about Lesnar winning is that he'll always been hated. And the WWE Universe will never like him. So he can be a permaheel... unlike someone like Punk, Bryan, Cena, Reigns, Wyatt. Those type of guys wouldn't be able to be permaheels their entire careers. There is no way they'd be able to get over the hatred of breaking the streak.

Taker was, in fact, hospitalized last night, possible concussion & neck injuries. And it also looks like this was Taker's call the whole way:

There were rumors among the talent backstage at WrestleMania XXX that The Undertaker was supposed to kick out or that the finish to his match with Brock Lesnar was botched but as we’ve noted, that’s not the case. The finish was planned but was kept from people even very high up in WWE’s marketing and production departments. WWE officials were very afraid of the finish leaking and it’s said only a small circle of 4-6 people were aware.

Vince McMahon actually missed the WrestleMania main event and Daniel Bryan’s big win because he left his post to ride with Taker to the hospital in the back of the ambulance. Vince left it up to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to run the rest of the show, all while playing a role in the main event as well.

There was a huge “bullshit” chant that started up after Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX last night after everyone realized what happened. It wasn’t until the 21-1 graphic came up that everyone realized The Streak was over. The chant quieted down and most of the crowd just sat there stunned. Taker did get the standing ovation and a “thank you Taker” chant from most but some did boo while this was going on. Multiple sources report that fans were seen leaving and several were seen crying. Taker’s loss really brought the live crowd down a notch and they didn’t seem to get back into things until well into the main event.

We noted earlier today that Taker was taken to a local hospital last night for fear of a concussion and a neck injury. We also noted that Taker losing was the original plan. This was kept from just about everyone but betting odds started to change shortly before the show began.

It’s said that this was indeed The Undertaker’s decision. We noted before that back in 2010, Taker wanted Lesnar to be the one to end The Streak. This is not confirmed yet but the impression was given backstage that Taker is done. No word yet on how this changes a potential match with Sting at WrestleMania 31.

I question the decision to have Brock end it as well, but if this report is true, it's tough not to give Taker what he wanted..

Disagree. Not saying it had to be Roman Reigns, but an up & coming heel (Bray Wyatt, for example) could have ended it.

I know Taker might be a different animal altogether & there's different circumstances, but Shawn Michaels stayed a face for the rest of his career after "retiring" Ric Flair..

Vince better give Undertaker what he wants, Taker has been there for 24 years and stuck around when WWE was getting their asses kicked and everybody else left for more money

people don't like that Brock ended it but if Taker wanted it that way, it shows how much respect he has for Brock
