Four Team Deal Sends Howard to Lakers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor

Dwight sits half the year, is traded to Brooklyn for the Lopez deal at the deadline.

Orlando would be nuts to take a package that makes them a permanent treadmill team. They need picks, and flexibility, and convincing themselves that they can reload rather than rebuild is just self-delusion. Of course, self-delusion may be exactly what they're doing here, so who knows?

Orlando Gm should be fired on the spot if that happens.

I hate when people say they have"sources' and then just spout off random CRAP!!!! Who is your source?????

No way. That ship has sailed, Orlando doesn't want to build around an over paid Center who can not rebound. If they do what a bad move, talk about the road to mediocracy. If the GM is smart you use this trade to get ride of bad contracts and embrace the tank like we did when we lost LJ. I mean the cavs should be the new model. Just drive the tank, the rebuild right way.

From where I'm sitting, Lopez may no longer be a trade asset at all. He's overpaid, and a team agreeing to take him may well be more likely to demand something in return than giving up anything of real value.

I think if bynum isn't traded he's going to stay in LA next year.

Howards best bet is getting traded to LA. As everywhere he wants to play can't afford him for a max deal.

I 100% agree. I mean he will making the same as Howard and Bynum, talk about over paid!

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor

Why dont we just make it a 4 team trade. Lakers get Howard Andy Parsons and Filler. Cavs get Bynum and take on 2 contracts. Rockets get Gasol.
Magic get (from the Rockets) First round pick via Tronto plus a young player (Lamb Jones White). (From the Cavs) Sac first round pick. Cavs first round pick top 5 protected. Walton Expiring contract

Something along those lines

Because these fruitcakes failed to get the first 3 way trade to work and now appear to be failing to get the 2nd attempt at a 2nd three way trade.

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor

Just trying to summarize

Howard wants to go to Brooklyn
Houston and Lakers want Howard. Howard likely will not resign with Houston
Lakers would make Bynum part of a 3-way trade.
Houston and Cleveland are only teams with cap space, resources to make 3-way trade
Houston most likely does not want Bynum
Trade is stalled because nobody knows Bynum's intentions at the end of the season and nobody can know until Lakers give permission to talk
Orlando wants equal value in a trade, but has no leverage

This is going to end badly for one team. Most likely Orlando

It's got to be Orlando. They are the only team who can't walk away...

My guess accounts for the atrocious Orlando FO.

It's going to end badly for everybody besides the Lakers and Houston if this deal doesn't happen.

The Cavs: Miss out on Bynum.
The Magic: Dwightmare continues, passing up on assets.

The Lakers would still have Bynum who is almost = to Howard in some respects.
The Rockets would keep their young group that they just drafted, a much smarter move in my opinion.

I'm scared. I'm desperate....... and I want Bynum damnit!

Houston would want Bynum, but prefer Howard. They will weigh the risk of him leaving plus the bad contracts vs the less risk in Bynum leaving and taking on less bad contracts (Lakers would take 1-2 as well).
IMO Houston holds the keys. That Toronto pick will be hard to match. They might also be willing to give up more prospects. The question is, how much are they willing to risk?

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor

Anybody know anything about the Asik offer?
