Game 10: Cavs vs. Bobcats, Friday, November 15, 2013, 7:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Where are all those Mike Brown's defenders from moment when he got re-hired? Is this Mike Brown you all thought or we should expect other Mike Brown to show up?

I was for the Mike Brown re-hire and thought he was the best option. It's really not looking good and if we don't make the playoffs that I'll be eating a lot of crow. He still has time , but he has to be very careful how he manages the rest of the season because I don't see this team going on an extended winning streak if they fall too far below .500

How is it more painful to watch the Cavs this year than last year?

I feel the same way. I enjoyed watching every game last season, but this year, I'm finding myself flipping to other games. That's never happened before! I guess that I had hope for the future while watching last season. Yet, this year, that hope is evaporating....and quickly. It's inexcusable to continue to be this bad again ...with all of the draft picks, free agent signings, new coach, etc.

The blame.....well, I never liked Mike Brown as a coach to begin with.....but ladies and gentleman, the blame squarely belongs on the shoulders of the man who hired Brown and assembled this atrocity of a team. May I introduce you to,Chris Grant?

This team is incredibly mentally weak. The moment a few shots stop falling or the other team goes on any sort of run, the game is over. The body language is terrible. Looks to me like a lot of these guys are content to collect their checks and go home.

why did they fire byron scott again? they gave him a youg pg to develop and a shitty team to tank and he did both. i mean, sure there migth be better coaches out there, but mike brown? This defense only philosophy isnt working, because you actually have to make a bucket or two to win a game...

Mike Brown is killer for young guys and he is killer for stars in this league, basically he is killer for every team in this league. He would make even Miami to look mediocre. I hope Dan pull the trigger and get his week ass out of team. I am sure he wouldnt get job any soon if we fire him. Maybe he will, if some team need to catch high lottery pick. Mike Brown would gave his best and that will just lead to high lottery pick.

I wasn't happy when Brown got re-hired...he was far from my first choice.

But I find myself having to defend him from all the angry people on here with pitchforks. This is a process. I never expected wins to come immediately.

But again, part of this is coaching. It's a 6 point game in the third with like a minute and a half or two minutes left. He brings in Jack, Zeller, and Bennett and all the starters are off the floor. In that last two minutes, what was a 6 point game is a 1 point game. He starts the fourth with all bench players, and before the starters get back in it's turned into a three point deficit. It probably does get old seeing the same shit night after night.

I'd also say it's demoralizing watching your coach burn a timeout with 10 seconds to go in a quarter so he could yell at someone. As if a timeout is worth so little thats it ok to just totally blow one like that as opposed to waiting 10 more seconds to yell at Karasev. I can tell you nothing would get me down more when I played than realizing my coach didn't know what he was doing.

I expected so see some improvement over 9 games. Not necessarily in Wins, but something to build on and the players buy in to. I don't see it.

Mentally preparing the players is part of coaching too. Scott never did it because we were losing on purpose.

Not sure Brown can do it.

not only that, i feel like we have regressed from last season. and what i dont get from the FO is what was the necessity to change our philosophy over the summer. our best player worked fine in the old system and became an all-star. now he's broken. and our defense is shit, albeit the famous mike brown defense aparently was the reason to bring him in and sacrifice our offense.

It's process and we can't see even 1 little sign of improvement. Actually all of our players decrease except Tristan. Kyrie forgot to play basketball in few months? It's all about coaching and Mike Brown is guilty that these things are happening, of course Grant too because he didn't find SF who belongs to NBA. If Dan wont pull the trigger and fire their asses if this team don't improve soon, than we are fucked up my friend. Phoenix Suns are in rebuilding, they got new coach and players too, they don't have better players on their roster than we do, but it's like night and day difference between them and Cavs.

Torn and W&G and others can keep saying things will get better with their head in the sand, but things are getting WORSE. This team looks worse than it did at the beginning of the season. This is not going to work out.

Here's when you know coaching is a problem. When so many players have regressed. Kyrie has taken about 3 steps back. Andy has regressed (probably due to age, though). Jarrett Jack is so much worse than he was last year, it's like its a totally different guy. Earl Clark has been made to look like he doesn't even belong in the league. Tristan Thompson does what he does off of pure hustle and heart. Not like Brown is putting him spots to succeed.
