Game 10: Cavs vs. Bobcats, Friday, November 15, 2013, 7:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What about the ones they did win like the Nets and Philly ? Do those count because too because they just as easily could have been opportunities that nearly slipped away.

now your getting into absolutes. letting some opportunities slip away is not letting all opportunities slip away. Ive seen the Cavs have more opportunities to win games in the last 3 weeks than I did all of the last two season outside of one stretch the Cavs had right before the all star break last season.

Now we don't match up well with the Bobcats...that's crazy.

And it's not hard to understand that Kyrie is a BIG part of this team. His struggles are directly related to our poor start this season.
now? did you not watch 2 preseason and 2 regular season games against the Bobcats?

Cavs dont match well against the Bobcats and until they can go full enregy for 48 minutes they arent going to beat a scrappy team like Charlotte that focuses on defense and fights on every possesion. something the Cavs would do well to do themselves

They have the second worst point differential in the NBA. Keep reaching bro.

I recall a Brown post game reply where he said I told Kyrie to just go and do his thing... Well... Anyone remember LeISO ? Same thing, just not as capable. Unfortunately, same offensively incapable coach.

I generally agree, but virtually everyone on our team except TT were missing their shots, most of them on good looks. We should have been up 15-20 points those first three quarters, but we weren't because nobody could hit anything.

Even disregarding all of that, we still could have won the game if we continued to defend at the level we were previously. As soon as Charlotte started hitting shots in the 4th, the entire team froze and looked lifeless. Nobody was hustling out there except Varejao and Thompson. I expect it from our young guys, but vets like Jack and Clark/Gee should know better.

In all seriousness what do you think the problem is... Are they tired? Are they in slump? Or just don't know how to win night in and night out because they have lost so much over the years? Players not getting the system? Whatever "it" is has been showing up for over a week (including the Philly game they nearly threw away) and as time goes on tired and shooting slump become less likely

True, but we were hardly trying to win either.

Your expectations couldn't have been lower because this team looks like one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Thats the Great thing about the NBA the first 20 games there is no worst team in the NBA. You have teams with major roster overhauls. teams blending in the rookie crop. teams adapting to new coaches and personnel

Some teams adapt quickly and come out the gate strong. other do the same then fade away. Some teams capitalize on this and steal wins.

Cavs right now are a work in progress. Hopefully they can find themselves a win streak and stay around 500 while they work the kinks out

Don't even know what to expect tomorrow. Team might give up on Mike and lose by 30. Or, they might go out there, compete for three quarters, realize they don't run an offense capable of producing easy looks in the fourth, freeze, and lose by 5 or 6. Then Mike Brown will blame the 84-79 loss on a defensive lapse at some random point in the game. Cause dammit, if we had held them to 78 points, we would have won.

That's my big issue. The schedule will not be in our favor since we still have west coast road trip, only played the Bulls and Indy so far for elite teams) and like any nba team we will face some injuries to key players along the way. I don't think they can afford to lose any starters (other than SF) for multiple games and expect to remain at .500.

The team as a whole is undoubtedly in an offensive slump, but for various reasons I expect that to improve over the next several games.

A good percentage of this team's problems right now is mental toughness. If you watch the games back, they don't react well to the opposition going on scoring runs. Kyrie especially feels the need to ISO when that happens, and that leads to the other 4 guys on the court standing around not doing anything.

Haven't seen an ounce of progress from game 1 to now. What you're spewing is what losers say, not winners.

Would be nice to stop losing key players to weird causes: "family illness," "under the weather." Is it too much to ask to have our top 10 players healthy and on the court for two straight months? Two straight games?

If only there were a guy on the team, say, a guy who is in charge of teaching the team in times of crisis and helping them get out of it, a guy with the power to totally stop the game and let his team settle down.

Mike Brown took a time-out when this team was up 7, after ONE Bobcats bucket. Did the same exact thing later in the game. Cavs went on a run, Cats hit ONE shot, Brown calls a timeout.

Then we have the abhorrent use of a timeout to tell at a player when the team had the ball with only 10 seconds left. That was something.

Those are things our coach thought he should be using timeouts on. And then he just watched with his jaw open as the Cats went on a run in the fourth and got up by like 8 before he finally called for a timeout. he then didn't call another one when the offense totally broke down and guys got lost.

His in-game management tonight was so damn awful.

I don't disagree with any of this, for the record.

Brown clearly could have done more if he really cared about winning this game.

you do realize the 76ers are currently 4th in the Eastwith a 5-5 record. portland has the 2nd best record in the west. Brooklyn, Memphis and the Knicks are all near the cellars of their respective conferences.

You really think it will be that way 20 to 30 games from now? im rather doubtful.

Teams that win recognize these things and keep pluggng away. team that lose dont and go nowhere. so im not sure exactly what your perceiving as a loser mentality. As a fan I can give a team a Chance to perform to what they are capable of
