Game 10 | San Antonio Spurs (6-4) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (5-4) | November 19, 2014 | 7:00PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Raptors up in Toronto against Memphis (who have been playing stellar)... They're playing incredibly right now.
I know but I saw them against the Nets in game 7 and Chicago this year. They will fold when all the chips are on the table. Raptors will lose even with home court advantage. Lebron will take care of the Wizards or Nets if it comes to it. It is all a question of Rose's health. If the Bulls are there with Rose they will be tough. Tonight's effort and level of play would have taken care of Knicks, Denver and Utah. Tough to swallow losses to inferior teams but the progress is more important than those 3 games. Lets see what happens in DC and vs Raps.

Spurs eliminated Sonics in Seattle, CP and West in New Orleans in game 7, took game 5 in Detroit from Sheed and Billups, tormented LBJ on a couple occasions. You ain't beating them with Joe Harris right now. And I love this kid.

But I'm still optimistic. They will figure it out. They need to challenge themselves now and not allow some scrub teams to beat them.

The love for Dion Waiters on this board is hard to grasp. You'd never know that he's been a bench player his whole college and pro career. When I watch him play I can tell he's been raised by that AAU ball. The bitching and whining about calls, Showing emotions that gets his head out of the game, and being upset when things are going the teams way and not his way.

So Dion's 42% catch and shoot 3pt percentage doesn't make him a good spot up shooter?

Good lord man. Did I say he isn't a good spot shooter? I said Joe Harris is a better spot shooter. Lord help me.

Not having one of the big 3 to end the third was dumb. That little run to end the third was enough to tip the scales OS this game

Also not sure Harris above both Dion and Marion to end the game makes sense

Th arguing after Cavs losses in here are getting me ready for Thanksgiving dinner with my family arguing...Thanks for prepping me for next Thursday

They're clicking as a team though. Lowry is a pitbull and a leader. They got screwed over IMO and should have beat Brooklyn. But as a team, they compliment the hell out of each other. They've replaced Salmons with Lou Williams (who has been underrated since hitting the NBA).Hayes and Patterson have started to gel with the rest of the team. Jonas is a little better. Ross is a lot better. Derozan's jumper is better. Don't count them out.

We'll definitely be a hard team to beat in the playoffs, I agree. Even with a loss tonight, we showed effort on defense. I'm not sold on Blatt yet though. All I'm saying right now.

Better defense this game. Saw lots of effort. Spurs got some lucky bounces that didn't reflect the level of intensity the Cavs brought tonight.

Offensively, we stank in the fourth. Ball movement ceased (beyond LeBron and AV's two-man game) and the Spurs D was able to maintain cohesion and forced bad shots. Liked it when they went to Love inside in the third, and I think they would do well to flesh out post touches to keep defenses honest.

Poor execution in the last five minutes sealed their fate.

As for the Dion/Harris debate, I don't think Waiters is in the doghouse. Dion looked like he was hurting after that collision and maybe that is why didn't play down the stretch.

Was thinking the same thing. I was just praying g the lead wouldn't balloon to more than 3-5 with the Soirs gettig the first possession in the 4 th. That little segment at the end of the 3rd, the final 1:45 of the 2nd, and all the makeable misses the last 5 minutes killed us. The good news is that with all that, our structural base foundation game was enough to give is a chance to win which bodes well for the future.

I hope the talk about the minutes didn't get Blatt to go with those lineups at crucial times (ends of quarters). Get in a rhtyhm, start winning , then get players rest.

I hear ya but when push comes to shove Kyrie+LBJ+Love>>> whatever the Toronto Raptors has to offer. raps can make a progress and win the 1st round just to get knocked out in 2nd. At the end of the day Jonas and Amir Johnson couldn't do jack against Gasol and Noah in Toronto when everyone at the ACC was pumped up and Cavs on the other hand won in Chicago. It just tells you something. The Cavs need to get to that stretch where you see Detroit,Orlando,Bucks,Philly and things will start fall into place and the record get to where it should be. Up until now they played the west and the best of the east (except Knicks) if we throw in the next 2 games. Big picture the only concern is health and getting to the point you got the game to challenge Chicago and maybe the west champs be it the Spurs,Warriors,Memphis ,whoever.

Yea I'd like to see most post action with Love. It came with solid results in the 3rd and we largely went away from it after.

I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about. The team played well/ and defense was tough on both sides. Better executing team won. I thought this was one of the Cavs better games to be honest. Best defense we have seen from the Cavs I think.

One or two things swing this game. Came down to the last second.

Two can play this game. LeBron lost his dribble, but the Spurs made plenty of mistakes too. One FG in 8 minutes proves that. The refs undoubtedly kept them in this game. I'm shocked that any impartial observer, much less a Cavs fan, would dispute that.

I like you, BrownsBuck. You stick to your guns...

The "quick two" is my least favorite decision in basketball. You have the ball down three with a chance to tie it. Take the three and don't create the potential for the chaos that was that last play. Give yourself a chance.
ESPECIALLY in our situation when we had no timeouts left.

God dammit. Refs blew it in the 4th but we blew it ourselves in the final two minutes.

I always root for the Spurs to lose, regardless of their opponent. So naturally, this loss kinda stings especially since it was oh so close and a few different swings of the ball, it's a different outcome.

But the more I look at it, I see some positives...more than negatives, actually. Hear me out, a .500 squad who is "under achieving" by everyones' standards shouldn't look at the silver lining in any loss, but I kinda see some...

James and Love combined for 25 points on 10/29 from the floor and YET the team was within 1 possession of the Spurs down the stretch. IF James and/or Love got into more of an offensive rhythm, I have little doubt the Cavaliers wouldn't have been victorious.

I can sit here and place blame on the lack of defensive switching on Diaw or the stupid mental errors down the stretch but I won't. Everyone needs to realize this is a process, it was never going to gel from the tip of the season. If you thought it would, you don't watch basketball.

Gear up and play against a solid foe in the Wizards on Friday and get back to those positive habits.
