Game 11 | #3 Ohio State vs. #9 Michigan State | November 21st, 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Meyer doesn't call the plays.

What is with people acting like they know who calls plays and who doesn't? You see these comments everywhere. According to Meyer himself, he does call a lot of plays.

"No, I was not content," Meyer said. "I call a lot of plays anyways. So finger will be pointed right here. And I have to do better. We didn't -- it was very conservative."

If Herman was still calling plays this could have been a historically great team. One fucking guy, and he doesn't even play, was the difference between that and looking at playing some SEC team in the Who Gives A Fuck Bowl if they lose to UM Saturday. That's what makes this so frustrating.
Yeah, it sucks that we lose everything just for losing one close game against a top 10 team in shit weather. What's left to play for now? A fucking Citrus Bowl? Woo.

Beat Michigan! All I ever care about. The rest is gravy.

We could go 12-1 this year!

Ah, a true-believer in everything you read on the internet. Personally, i read diverse opinions, taking statements and opinions as data only, then analyze the likely bias for each source to arrive at my assessment at the probabilistic truth, with an additional assessment of the uncertainty of my conclusions. I call this process "thinking for myself".

What I do not do is believe everything I read.

In this case we have access to Urban Meyer's play-calling tendencies over a long career, as well as Tom Herman's, to compare to the dismally different tendencies of this year. Chief among these is the proclivity to stretch sideways this year instead of pushing downhill. The ridiculous tendency in the MSU game having JT roll to his left and trying to force a pass against his body was not a mainstay in last years offense. Alternately, JT's touchdown pass was clearly from the classic Meyer playbook (even if he did not call it).

Of course Urban Meyer takes responsibility, as a classy professional would you expect otherwise? What would you think if he scapegoated his staff instead?

So if we win next week and msu loses and we beat Iowa in the big ten championship do we get in to the finals.

The fuck?

Urban Meyer was quoted as saying that after the game. As in he literally said that out of his mouth. :chuckle:

Fact is, Urban calls a large portion of the plays himself. Flat out. Why wouldn't he? He is the head coach of a University and isn't getting paid millions of dollars to stand on the sidelines to be a mime.

This is what I'm talking about. Like... do people realize they pull stuff out of their asses and draw conclusions based on what they believe to be true instead of factual information?

These days we live in are insane.

So I could watch OSU get smacked by someone else?

No thanks.

I wish there were an 8 team playoff, it'd be more like the NFL, which I think is by far the most exciting playoff in all of sports, maybe college basketball rivals it, but I don't think it does.

As a viewer, it'd excite me more. As a fan of a team that is in it every year, it'd be harder for us to win a title.

I think it'd be cool, because you'd be able to allow some of the smaller programs in it, allowing a cinderella run to happen.

The big programs are almost always going to net the top-4 slots.

I usually hate Penn State, but I'm their biggest fan this week.
