Game 11 | Cavs (5-5) @ Wizards (7-3) | November 21, 2014 | 8pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This offense is just plain bad right now. It's all one on one with too much ball dribbling, there is no movement taking place.

Isn't one of the key philosophies of the Princeton offense Blatt is supposedly trying to hybrid moving without the ball? These guys just stand around and play one on one and jack up shot after shot when another pass or a pump fake gets you in better position to score.

I know their pride was hurt a tad going into the second half but then they slowly got back to what put them in the hole to begin with. Stop with the 3s! Please. I know its human nature to try and want to get the lead down as much as possible as quickly as you can, but jacking up contested 3s versus just an easy 2 is beyond stupid.

40-9 bench points, the Cavaliers didn't even have their first bench points until the middle of the 3rd quarter.

And to top it off, Love shoots 8 times and half of those are 3s! I get it, he can hit the 3 but he can also bang on the glass, mix some of that into it as well. Out of everyone, he looks the most lost out there on offense, he needs to find his touch. I have no doubt he will, but the team needs to address what his role on offense is to give him some sort of direction.

Is it time to panic? No. It's time to slow down and just make the right play. Toronto tomorrow, hopefully that proves something...

Lol because that's exactly what I said, right?...

"I blame coaching (Blatt)."

Really don't wanna play this game with you. If I were to go back and look at the Dion thread as to why he hasn't been very good his first two years how many times do you think you've blamed coaching for his struggles? I blamed it too. BUt now on coach number 3 I'm just not gonna keep doing it.

People can either keep being Dion apologists or live in reality and admit that he just can't adjust his game into becoming less of a chucker and become an off the ball guard.

I get it, people like Dion. I like Dion. He seems like he wants to fit in, and says all the right things. But it's really frustrating how he can't translate that to the floor.

You can see it in his body language. The first thing he looks to do when he comes in is look to shoot. And that's totally fine, but it doesn't fit into this team.

I've blamed coaching a lot over the past couple years but the criticism has been valid. Byron and Mike both were both shitty coaches and had their own issues as well.

Contrary to what you think though I don't think Dion is infallible. This year his attitude has been absolutely terrible and he's really regressed in many areas but I think it's compounded by the coaching issues. I've voiced my complaints in other threads tonight, Dion and Blatt threads, so I don't feel like restating them but you can't ignore the fact that Blatt's coaching has been a problem.

I think Dion is a very limited player and finding a role for him will continue to be nearly impossible so long as he has an inflated opinion of his abilities. Put him here, there, with this group of players or that, so long as he continues to live under the impression he's one of the best 2 guards in the league and tries to take over moments like he's Wade he's going to struggle. Every coach he's had has struggled with this. He wants to shoot and handle the ball like a number 1 or number 2 option but he doesn't have the requisite talent to do that. ANd unless he accepts that fact he doesn't fit with almost anyone.

He'll fit in with Philly. He can be the hometown chucker.

You have to wonder if Ben McLeMore choosing Rich Paul as his agent has any connection at all to a future SG swap. Say whatever you want, my opinion is that if we had a guard with his skillset we'd be in a better position. I don't anticipate Dion ever making that transition to off ball guard, and he's going to be a luxury and not a necessity.

Dealing with all of Dion being Dion, in the end is his production really worth it? We're trying to jam him into a hole that perhaps he's not meant to plug. I think Dion's thirst for cash and our franchise getting tired of him will ultimately get him shipped out.

We got our stops in the fourth, we just couldn't buy a basket to save our life.

On to the Raptors, the well-known Canadian symbol. A f'ing dinosaur.

That's what happens when you don't take care of business against the Knicks and Denver at home. Folks start to hyperventilate.
Even if they get it together in game 35 and dont have home court I would still pick Cavs to make it to ECF. Lebron is not going to kick it into gear in November. But. When he is balling and Kyrie and Love are in sync with him no one other than Bulls stands a chance

I'm sorry, but I still prefer Blatt's Post conference than Grimaces. I still think him and Bron are on the same page.

It's disturbing to realize that we can only win when LeBron is playing like Superman although we expected him to on most nights. Even if he's average, we seem to have no chance. Blatt talks about getting Love touches and Love winds up taking 8 shots.

Watching part of this game makes me think everyone is trying to do to many cute things including LeBron. Those shitty thread the needle passes that he throws off defenders legs seem to becoming contagious with the whole damn team.

13 assists? 36% shooting? 22% from three? Hard to win like that.

Washington came out fired up at home. A lot of energy from wall beal nene and booker off the bench. We were competitive only when Kyrie and lebron were doing impossible. They just did not have enough gas to carry the load offensively while the team was giving up easy baskets to washington..

I dont think there is anything fundamentally wrong with love. When he gets the ball in decent position he is effective.

The problem is that the defense is not effective. We go for a few minutes and then break down.. Defensively we are a little better than philadelphia.

Also in this game both Dion and TT were not fitting well. They were forcing bad shots and screwing up defensively. I am not saying they are not giving the effort on D, its just that they often seem to be in the wrong place, running into thier own guys and so on..

Joe Harris could not guard John Wall. He got winded on defense and was shooting short all night.

Washington is very good, physical inside team. With Porter and booker showing up off the bench, they are better than the bulls.
