Game 17 | Cleveland Cavaliers (9-7) @ New York Knicks (4-15) |December 4th, 2014 | 8 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Their fans talk big for a franchise that has had, what, two good seasons since their inception 20 years ago?
Andy and Tristan have been awful on the defensive boards and there's no two ways about it and Love hasn't been great. It would be great if we didn't need James to go in and grab boards so he can leak out on the break but he just might have to. The one thing I thought for sure we would be great at was rebounding but it hasn't happened. The team doesn't have the personnel to be elite on defense so it has to clean up he defensive boards to be average.

They were admittedly lax on the boards tonight. More hustle.

Also, New York got a lot of long rebounds after bad shots that went their way. Can't box those out.

yea its also a team that loses 3 times as much as they win.

not something Id feel good about bro.

It's still ridiculous, it's like saying win a game while committing 25 turnovers

If you look up mediocre in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of Rob Ford hugging the dinosaur version of Chris Bosh.

Technically their (Bosh and Ford's) lives in Toronto never intersected. But they have a reason to be happy finally because none of their teams have been decent in a long time, including the Leafs. Them being in the playoffs last year for the first time since like 2007 was a huge deal. And they have the best moneyball team in the NBA, so they do have something to be proud of. But they're pretty cocky for a team that has played 3 good teams since the start of the season (one being us earlier in the season). As long as we can guard Lowry and Lou Williams, I think we'll be fine. LeBron needs to guard Terrence Ross and James Johnson. Marion should be able to guard Vasquez. I really wish we had made a play for Lou Williams this off season. He's how I want Dion to be able to play.

I've got a bad feeling about this one. Lebron has been playing lazy lately. The team saved his ass the other night when he was trying to hand the Bucks the game. Tonight he's playing in the Garden. Per usual, he will try to put on a personal show and abandon the game plan...problem is, he's a shell of his former self. The rest of the players will just be observers and the Knicks will capitalize. Players only meetings, arguments, rumors of punches being thrown will ensue...Dion may even pull a gun.

Knicks in a laugher. Book it!

Nailed it!!!! Some dude named @JFT labeled my post "old" and almost ruined it. :(

Wow how great is kyrie playing right now. 5 in a row now

2 mediocre shooting games from lebron in a row and cavs won both. that is progress. Knicks appear to match up well with the cavs. Offensively te knicks were held to 42% shooting. Cavs arent gonna win the rebounding war every night so a tip of the hat to beating a team that took 18 more shots than they did. Irving had a stretch where he didnt play defense against the backups but that ship was righted in the 2nd half.
Irving was aggressive and attacked the rim. he didnt force it. it was all there for him.

Just watched the highlights and Quincy Acy will replace Mo Williams as the opponent with the most punchable face in Cavaliers recent history. Hopefully, he'll follow the same steps as well. :chuckle:

Does Mo Williams have a punchable face?

That lineup in the late first or early second of Kyrie, Dion, Tristan, Varejao and someone else that wasn't a member of the big three should never happen again.

You can't put last year's team on the floor and expect it to succeed.

Any time Dion is on the floor, LeBron or Love should be as well and Kyrie should preferably be off.

I think everyone does.

Most punchable faces in the league and reasoning:

Mike Dunleavy (Too white)
BJ Mullens (alive?)
Adam Morrison (BJ Mullens WT cousin. alive?)
Kris Humphries (Fuck this guy)
Javale McGee (die)
Kendrick Perkins (Overly cocky)
Evan Turner (same)
Austin Rivers (WAS overly cocky)
Joakim Noah (Fuck this guy)
Paul Pierce (that stache...)
Anderson Varejao (be objective)
Jarrett Jack (what is that shape?)
Manu Ginobili (The human hangnail)
Kevin Garnett (Fuck this guy)
Rajon Rondo (Bizarre face)
Harrison Barnes (WAS overly cocky)
Ray Allen (Smug)

That Jason Smith guy for New York gets honorable mention for punchable face.

The game we won tonight, we would've lost a couple weeks ago.

This team is starting to gel (and learning to win together) and it is showing in this winning streak, no matter how ugly the wins are.

Yes I was thinking the same thing..The Knicks especially bearded guy and AS were cocky..and aggressive...but the Cavs took over and won that irritating game.
Cavs have to get more from their bench.

God would I hate to be a knick fan the last few years. They are terrible without any sort of future.
not sure. I can't see zen putting up with this crap for a long stretch. I have a feeling they would start moving the pieces with under the radar moves and or big moves.

I forgot who was that member a few years back who said Mo has that face who he wants to throw bricks at. I tend to agree. He has that cat piss looking game face matching with curled lip when he used to destroy us during his stint with the Bucks where he just can't miss against us.

Anyway, he's awesome. No ill feelings toward the guy.
