Game 22 -|- Cavs @ Magic -|- Dec. 13, 2013 @ 7 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Didn't see the whole game. But should I trust the stat sheet that AB didn't look too bad?

The two shots he missed were stupid shots, but he looked like he was trying to post up and play down low more, which is a good thing.

Dion always seems to be the 1st who backs up anyone, Cleveland need to keep him just for the fighting spirit, sometimes he has cold spells but like tonight in the 4th he went off and blew Orlando out the water, you can see how much winning means to him just in the way he went right after Nicholson.

Dion has turned a corner defensively as well. We're beginning to see a kid that when his shot might not be there, he's looking and finding ways to have a positive impact on the game. That's what winners do.. Some of our kids like TT and Dion are beginning to find these angles.. Kyrie is still a work in progress in that department, but you can see he's searching for that.. Nice to see his shot returning.. It's going to be a longer process for Kyrie to envelope all he can eventually provide, into this team. He's the central catalyst, and our offense is going to be a slow progression throughout this season. But, he and the team's offense is making slow but noticeable progress.

No, I'm a natural brunette but thanks for asking!

Brutal game from TT though. Sometimes it seems like our starters have to play 3-on-5 because of how little attention defenses pay to Gee and TT when they're on the floor. He just doesn't fit with Bynum if he can't take and make that 15-18 foot top of the key jumper consistently.

If the Heat play Wade tomorrow, I want Delly to harass the living shit out of him whenever he is out there.

If I remember it right I think they tried that the last game, Wade went to the post and just overpowered Delly.

Yea, that was a disaster. They immediately and purposefully focused on giving Wade the ball against Delly and he just plastered him. He was in foul trouble within like 3 minutes or something.

Sure would be nice if we drafted a power forward who could... actually make a defense have to respect his floor spacing ability.

Some could say he hasnt earned the right to start or play, me personally, I think the way he has been handled up until now (neglected off court, short hooked on court) has been as much of a factor in his poor play. Start this kid and the starting lineup looks PRETTY good with one more hole to fill (Gee)

Yep. I love what Delly does, but against Miami he hurts us more than he helps us.

IMO... start Bennett, play him 15-20 mins if you think that's all he's earned but time his minutes to be with Bynum. Then bring in TT and Varejao since they've shown they can play effectively together this year, and both of them could play starters minutes off the bench. Get Earl Clark or Alonzo Gee (let them duke it out for starting SF) out of the rotation entirely, specially if Brown is deadset on using these 3 guard lineups EVERY GAME, even amongst teams that they don't work against.

Tristan was effected by a disjointed offense, poor effort, and sloppiness for most of game.. Nothing low post was there,, but he gave us what we were needing at crunch time. He and Andy were fighting..and rendered Orlando's post game useless for the most part.. Slammed the door the last eight minutes.

So after benching Varejao, when he's better than Bynum, we're gonna bench Thompson too? And this is after benching Waiters? Let's just bench all of the better players and start their lesser counter-parts in their place. Gee doesn't have one, so he stays. That means sit Kyrie next and start Jack.

Let's see where that takes us.

Bynums playing like a guy who thinks he's getting traded. Things look good with bad teams, but They will Need Drew when the team plays tough teams. They will need a big like him tomorrow. I hope they don't continue to discount him.

If only there was a way to bench kyrie

benchception

Hell let's just do it.

Start Delly at the 2 as well.

Then, we can have what would probably our most effective unit come off the bench together. Kyrie, Dion, Miles, Thompson, Varejao. Slashers and shooters and people who really get up and down the court. That's the damn unit I want to see play together more.

Your stubborn insistence on sitting on Tristan's lap is blinding your ability to see what is pretty clear out there for this team. :chuckles:

Thompson hurts Bynum, as he does any center who doesnt operate from 15 feet out.

Bynum never got going because Tristan was afraid to shoot from 15-18ft even though the defense allowed him to. By allowing him to (Millsap ATL, Bass Boston, Davis tonight) his defender is able to double off of him and not only shade to Kyrie to close his driving lanes, but also dig down on Bynum the minute he starts working on his man and making his basketball move as a post player.

If you just want to hate on Bennett, than start Clark. Did you see Clark tonight? Do you know WHY Clark had 3 open 3pointers when he first checked in?

I'll tell you, because Jacques Vaughn had not yet adjusted his defense to make his 4 man go back to playing honest defense. After Clark burned his ass a few times, Vaughn adjusted then, but as soon as Tristan came back in (with Bynum to end half) they adjusted again and went right back to roaming off TT whenever TT was in high post.

This is pretty easy to see. Just as easy to see as it was that Waiters and Irving needed to be staggered so both could play PG to start their times in the game.

If this current team stays healthy and intact (big IF with Bynum and Andy's health), starting a floor stretching PF in this lineup would make them the 3rd best team in this years Eastern Conference. (shrugs)
