Game 30| Cavs v.s Heat| Dec. 28th, 7pm [ET]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Beasley looks lazy as f*ck out there...

The heat announcers are right, we won the game cuz Coach brown put LBJ on wade during the 4th. this is another ugly win by the cavs

This team reminds me of the '95 Indians - losing going into the 9th inning at home, but still eeking out victories in dramatic fashion.

Oh, and the camaraderie's pretty similar, too.

I serioulsy say Lebron =Defensive Player of the Year

When Delonte scores in the paint over teams like Boston and Houston (tough interior defense) then let me know.

I love Delonte but he can only attack the paint against teams like the Timberwolves, OKC, Wizards, etc.. Those are teams with no interior defense.

The fact that Delonte is undersized for the SG postion also hurts him.

Do you think Delonte will be able to score in the paint on a consistent basis when we play the Celtics, Rockets, Magic, or even the lakers (when Bynum is down low)?
Simple answer, NO.

Delonte, Mo, and Boobie are primarily shooters, if there jumpshots are off we can be in pretty big trouble.

Our bench got outplayed tonight by 29-17. Boobie couldn't shoot for his life. The reason I brought Delonte was the simple fact that we need more diversity from our bench in terms of scoring.

Okay, I am not sure why you think he can not score down low near the basket but I think you are mistaking his ability. To me that is one of his strengths whether it be on the fast break or the half court. Maybe you think this because he is only 6'3"? He is shooting 59% around the basket this year not including tonights game. I think he hasn't driven enough this year but then again he is wide open outside so why not shoot it.

I'll give you more numbers to back up my statements.

Against the Celtics in 07-08, he was 8-11 near the basket. This year he didn't shoot the ball near the basket. In the playoffs last year, he was only 10-21 however.
Against the Magic in 07-08, he was 7-13 near the basket.
Against the Pistons in 07-08, he was 4-9 near the basket, but 2-2 in the Pistons game earlier this year.
Didn't play the rockets in 07-08, but in the Rockets game recently he was 2-2 near the basket.

The main issue Delonte as a 6'3" SG is on the defensive end against certain players. Another issue is sometimes rebounding against aggressive guards as well as on switches. I do not think it is driving to the hoop at all. To me, that is a strength when he actually is aggressive doing it.

Sorta wish I'd have just fast forwarded to the fourth quarter, cause the first three were pretty frustrating...

That said, this was another win by a damn good team. That's four close games in a row by my count and we've come out clean on each of them. We did it with clutch play at the end of the game on both sides of the ball, but ESPECIALLY defense. Our 4th quarter defense is just money in the bank right now. It's hustle, it's being in the right place at the right time and it's team chemistry.

The Heat are a team I do not want to play in the playoffs. To be honest, I believe we'll lose at Miami after this one. That said, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if we pull it off. This team is amazing right now.

Great game. We looked really sluggish in the 2nd and 3rd quarters but I'm really glad we turned it up in the fourth. The heat completely broke down. I was suprised to see that Delonte didn't do too bad of a job on Wade. He had a few steals and kept in front of him the best he could. Wade took a lot of jumpers and he was hot, nothing you can do about that. Varejao and Ben got it done, and of course Lebron had another monster game. It always seems like he's just a couple of rebounds or assists shy of a triple double. Very good game by Mo, another 20 point game by him. It seems like Mo is the exact opposite of Larry Hughes in that he seems to have a 5 good games for every bad game while Hughes has 5 bad games for every good game.:chuckles: Did Hughes ever once have 4 20 points games in a row here? Mo is a beast and I was glad we got him since day one.

Beasley looks lazy as f*ck out there...

Yeah it seems like it. His aggression is WAY down compared to his college days last year. I do not think its a good fit for him in Miami at the Moment. He is a Power Forward but they play him it looks like as a Small. I think his offensive game is comparable to a Carmello Anthony. But he is no where near Carmello right now. And yes I know I said he is PF and his game reminds me of Carmello

Someone said the Bulls went 37-0 before their first loss at home?

20 more wins to go then. :)

I was driving home from a Christmas get-together and didn't get to watch the game. Did LBJ shut down Wade in the 4th? It sounds like it?

Ugly win, the defensive intesity doesn't seem to be there anymore. We are not gonna be able to just flick the switch on late in games all the time, especially against really good teams. And watching this really tells me we could use a Gerald Wallace or Mike Miller type player on that 2nd unit. And what happen to the pick and pop with Z. Its like that play completely disappeared of late.

Other than that i am happy with the W, just hopefully we come out with more intensity from the jump.

I felt the same way tonight, but I was thinking we only need someone like that on that 2nd unit when Mo is in foul trouble. However, when Mo is not in foul trouble and when Wally (i know) is playing, it doesn't feel like it did tonight.

Z missed a couple of easy buckets but I thought he should've got more looks.

Ever since the Denver game we are not involving him in the offense. I think thats one of the reasons we have looked sloppy on the offensive end.

We started the game off the right way by feeding Z down low but after that Z was basically taken out of the game.

I hope Delonte, Z, and Boobie contribute a bit more on the offensive end. We can't depend on FT's to bail us out. Tonight we got them in the penalty early in the 4th and took advantage of that but we can't be sure if that will happen in Miami.
