Here is 3 conclusions I have come up with after this game...

1. This years team does not give up
2. Mo Williams is freakin clutch
3. Daniel Gibson is challenging Sasha for the dumbest player on the team award. ITS HIS 3RD YEAR AND HE STILL CANT DRIBBLE!!!!!!!!! It drives me insane!!!!!!!

I just collected myself enough to Blackberry you guys a reaction from my Q experience. I was a mere ten feet away from the action along the visitors tunnel.

*Never go out to dinner before a game if you have premium tickets. At least I was able to enjoy the tasty free beers.

* Rich people don't cheer enough for my liking. To explain, I was often on my feet in the first half, but aside from a few others, those closest to the floor were very reserved until Andy dunked one home in the 4th, leading to mass jubilation and consistent cheering. I wish the crowd did that in the first half.

* Andy and Ben are beasts. My respect level for their post defense tripled by watching them under the basket in person. We can't allow them to leave.

*rothstein, a former assistant under Fratello I believe, is the true mastermind behind the Heat right now. He isn't as aesthetically pleasing as Spoelstra, but he is running that team.

* Miami wanted Delonte's blood spilled at the end of this game. He took three hard fouls to the head when Harlem reentered the game with a butterfly over his right brow. My mom swears Delonte had a shiner while shooting his last free throws.

I know what you mean by both of these. I rarely sit in the lower bowl, but the "fans" are definitely worse down there. Half of the lower bowl is older women on their phones.

Whenever I sit closer, the thing I notice most is how much more physical the game seems. When your in the upper deck, you obviously don't notice as much, but it looks even more physical than it does on TV for some reason.

Tonight was the best crowd of the season so far. It go pretty loud in there in the 4th.

I heard those parts are rough. He's lucky he got out with just a shiner :chuckles:

Ben finally played some clutch minutes that he desires and results followed...

When we needed defense, that man ANCHORED it

Kudos to Ben and Andy!

Post-game note in a Miami paper after Sunday night's game.

Heat point guard Mario Chalmers strained his right hamstring while going for a fourth-quarter steal. He is listed as day-to-day.

This was a typical game against Miami..I didn't like the dribble penetration Wade was getting..
The D just wasn't as intense until the fourth quarter run.
Did Z look like he wasn't in the gamer? Tenative when he got the ball?
He certainly didn't get it enough.
The Cavs were settling for jumpers when they really could have forced the issue by going inside and uping the tempo more..
Once more remember it's a marathon and we aren't going to look sharp every niight..
It's the stretch run where this team should peak.
However we do need another presence in the post..

We do need to up the intensity in the third..I don't want to see this continue to happen..we got a lot of that last year..

Ben has really sealed the deal in the final minutes the past 2 games. We were always worried that he couldn't score, but it is starting to look like his contribution is more important.

Delonte wasn't bleeding at the end was he?

My few thoughts

1. its great to win when you play bad, but the cavs movement on both ends has been slack over the holidays, i wouldn't be suprised if they get beaten soon

2. Way too many unforced errors, i think someone should remind pros of the bounce pass sometimes

3. Ben wallace was a beast today

Cavs have won 15 3rd-quarters, lost 9 3rd-quarters, and tied 6 3rd-quarters. They have only lost one game all year (Boston) in which they lost the 3rd quarter. They tied vs. New Orleans, and won the 3rd quarter at Detroit and at Atlanta.

We'll see if the games against Washington and Miami are anomalies or if they are the start of their pattern at the start of the year (losing many 3rd quarters the first 2 weeks of the season).
