Game 30| Cavs v.s Heat| Dec. 28th, 7pm [ET]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This reminds me, leborn wears underarmour right? its just i noticed when he was lining up along the lane during the rockets game it appeared like he had rectangular padding on his lower back

Yea he does, but its different from Wade's. I seen him when he was walking back to the locker room and take off his jersey. His has blocks of padding in certain areas, Wade's looks like a bullet proof vest.

Heat should be another tough game because DWade is such a stud... Hopefully we can slow them down and abuse them down low and with LeBron...we need to use our sizze against this team

Now we get to see how well Delonte can defend. This will be a real challenge.

<Attention RCF Shoppers...for instant morale boost, please read linked thread on Miami board>

Some of my favorites...

Here's the first post in the thread...

heat play cavs the 28 and 30 wow do u think w can pull one of

Later on...

at home i think we can but well have a chance wade and lebron always have good games win they play together

From a Boston fan (three stars), maybe; from the lakers, maybe; from the Spurs, maybe; but from a Miami fan who watches every game with Wade and his cast? Come on...

we play them at home for one of them, and they are still undefeated at home, which worries me a bit, i expect a high scoring game, but aside from lebron, there arent really that many people on the cavs that contribute significantly to scoring, so im not too worried, if we can shut down lebron, we can do this

Ahhh yes the classic crying-baby-because-we're-losing technique. Going old school, these folks.

Yeah I watched the game, it's so sad that how refs babied the Cav's.. evidence why cav's are winning. and lately ref's try to kill us, so i hope we win at home..

And this one is for good measure...

refs help lebron, nba is gonna make him mvp. conspiracy?

And that's just from the first page. :chuckles:

Also - everyone around me knows my distaste for Tom Knotts, the Washington Times and the Washington Post. Not for their bashing of LeBron and the Cavs, but the fashion that they choose to do so. It's not business-like, it's not simply opinionated journalism, it's middle-schooler vs. middle schooler in a yo-mama joke battle. For the way they have presented themselves and their arguments, I have no respect. More complaining about LeBron's advertising (see LBJ? You're already getting too much publicity according to some people), that the game was fixed for LeBron's shoe campaign...blah blah blah. Find the link if you'd like to read the rest.

Also there was some talk on unfair calls on Yao against us so I looked it up.

On us: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/j0getoT28MU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/j0getoT28MU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Looking at those, one could make a serious argument. Andy and Wallace BOTH gave head flops (that sounds odd), but it looks like Yao had his arm around Andy and he did hit Ben in the face. So...who knows. What I AM happy about is that the refs called a foul on both ends. They didn't hold the whistle just because a foul on Yao was called at the other end of the floor.

The other night, I don't even remember who was playing. Orlando vs. somebody. Dwight Howard drives the lane on a fast break (again, odd) gets lightly hit, and throws the ball up. It takes a bounce off the rim, comes down, and someone from the other team grabs the rebound and looks downfloor. THEN...the foul call is made. At first I thought, "whatever...just a late call." Upon replay: the ref was slightly crouched so he could see under the hoop at the baseline, and clearly waited until it showed Dwight had missed the shot to call a foul.

THAT...is bad officiating.

Anyway back to Yao: so after reviewing that tape against us, I clicked on what I thought was another commentary on the Cle vs. Hou game and found some interesting stuff.

Now I'm not saying there's some ridiculous conspiracy involving Dwight, Yao, LeBron, the Cavs, the Celtics or ANYONE. There just aren't conspiracies. So stop complaining people. And if there are - I don't want to know. I'm happy in my ignorance if that's the case.

But those are some laughable calls on Yao (and both deal with Dwight). Just a coincidence, and I'm not using sarcasm.

Anywho...there's cc333's off-topic rant of the day. These two games will be fun to watch. And, of course, all the talk on MVP voting for a LONG time to come this season.

Wow, what a bunch of babies in that Yao vid. Rodney Mott what are you lookinnggg atttt?

Rondey should've been looking at Yao picking up and sliding his pivot foot on the post move after picking up his dribble. You're allowed two steps on a clear path or drive to the hoop. Yao took one pound dribble and proceeded to do a drop-step. In this instance, after the pick-up and drive to his left, the left foot (his pivot foot now), should never leave the floor.

Blatant travel on the first attempt, then half ball-half wrist on the put back. They let u go with the steps, you're not gonna get the ball call. How many times does this happen to LeBron? For instance, the game winner in game 3 vs. the Wiz back in 2006 when Michael Ruffin annihilated LeBron after a questionable step. They basically gave no whistle there, refusing to make a call. There have also been multiple times where it looks like LeBron may have taken an extra step, so gets no contact call on the attempt or the putback. It's actually pretty common in the NBA, so suck it up biased announcers.

Some history with Delonte vs Wade or Delonte's team vs Wade's team:

March 16, 2006 - Miami vs Boston Celtics - Starting Backcourt for the Celtics was Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak and the Heat's backcourt was Jason Williams and Dwyane Wade. Heat won 107-104. Wade scored 30 points and JWill had 21 points. West playing 42 miinutes against both Wade and Willaims had 15 points and 5 assists. Wally had probably his best game since his Minnesota days with 30 points on 13-18 shooting.

Only two weeks earlier on March 1st, 2006 - Miami played the Celtics again with the same set of guard starting lineups West/Szczerbiak and Wade/JWill. West had 20 points and Wally had 12 points, 6 boards and 4 assists. Wade had another good game with 24 points, 8 assists and 5 boards but got to the line 16 times. Jwiill also had 13 points and 9 assists.

On April 16, 2007 - The Celtics played the Heat. This time the Celtics backcourt was Rondo/West against the Heat backcourt of JWill/Wade. However, the Heat only played their starters in the 1st half. Not much to gain except that West had a very good game in both halves while totalling 18 points, 4 assists, 4 boards, and 3 steals. He held Wade in the 1st half to 8 points. However, JWill hit 5 first half 3pointers. Luckily, the Heat's point guard these days is Chalmers who isn't that good of jump shooter.

Then last year as a Supersonic played 29 minutes against the Heat on 11/14/08 mostly as a 2guard against Wade. West had 16 points, 4 boards, and 6 assists. Wade played his first game of the year that night and finished with 15 points in 24 minutes. Seattle won the game.

Later that year while with the Cavs, West played 26 minutes and scoring 18 points against the Heat. He played mostly all point guard. Wade didn't play.

was lebron sick during the WAS game? he said he was feeling bad physically during his post game with sager. any word on what this meant?????

the earlier games that you mentioned with the west/wally back court, west played only PG. when he had guarded d wade he has had some success, or course last year d wade wasnt the d wade of this year. d wade is on a roll right now but hopefully he can at lease slow him down

Eww.. Their site looks cheap....Everytime I see one like that it makes me appreciate this one even more...

The only thing that is holding that together is
