<Attention RCF Shoppers...for instant morale boost, please read linked thread on Miami board>
Some of my favorites...
Here's the first post in the thread...
heat play cavs the 28 and 30 wow do u think w can pull one of
Later on...
at home i think we can but well have a chance wade and lebron always have good games win they play together
From a Boston fan (three stars), maybe; from the lakers, maybe; from the Spurs, maybe; but from a Miami fan who watches every game with Wade and his cast? Come on...
we play them at home for one of them, and they are still undefeated at home, which worries me a bit, i expect a high scoring game, but aside from lebron, there arent really that many people on the cavs that contribute significantly to scoring, so im not too worried, if we can shut down lebron, we can do this
Ahhh yes the classic crying-baby-because-we're-losing technique. Going old school, these folks.
Yeah I watched the game, it's so sad that how refs babied the Cav's.. evidence why cav's are winning. and lately ref's try to kill us, so i hope we win at home..
And this one is for good measure...
refs help lebron, nba is gonna make him mvp. conspiracy?
And that's just from the first page. :chuckles:
Also - everyone around me knows my distaste for Tom Knotts, the Washington Times and the Washington Post. Not for their bashing of LeBron and the Cavs, but the fashion that they choose to do so. It's not business-like, it's not simply opinionated journalism, it's middle-schooler vs. middle schooler in a yo-mama joke battle. For the way they have presented themselves and their arguments, I have no respect. More complaining about LeBron's advertising (see LBJ? You're already getting too much publicity according to some people), that the game was fixed for LeBron's shoe campaign...blah blah blah. Find the link if you'd like to read the rest.
Also there was some talk on unfair calls on Yao against us so I looked it up.
On us: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/j0getoT28MU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/j0getoT28MU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Looking at those, one could make a serious argument. Andy and Wallace BOTH gave head flops (that sounds odd), but it looks like Yao had his arm around Andy and he did hit Ben in the face. So...who knows. What I AM happy about is that the refs called a foul on both ends. They didn't hold the whistle just because a foul on Yao was called at the other end of the floor.
The other night, I don't even remember who was playing. Orlando vs. somebody. Dwight Howard drives the lane on a fast break (again, odd) gets lightly hit, and throws the ball up. It takes a bounce off the rim, comes down, and someone from the other team grabs the rebound and looks downfloor. THEN...the foul call is made. At first I thought, "whatever...just a late call." Upon replay: the ref was slightly crouched so he could see under the hoop at the baseline, and clearly waited until it showed Dwight had missed the shot to call a foul.
THAT...is bad officiating.
Anyway back to Yao: so after reviewing that tape against us, I clicked on what I thought was another commentary on the Cle vs. Hou game and found some interesting stuff.

Now I'm not saying there's some ridiculous conspiracy involving Dwight, Yao, LeBron, the Cavs, the Celtics or ANYONE. There just aren't conspiracies. So stop complaining people. And if there are - I don't want to know. I'm happy in my ignorance if that's the case.
But those are some laughable calls on Yao (and both deal with Dwight). Just a coincidence, and I'm not using sarcasm.
Anywho...there's cc333's off-topic rant of the day. These two games will be fun to watch. And, of course, all the talk on MVP voting for a LONG time to come this season.
