Game: 31| Cavs @ Heat | Tues, Dec. 30th 7:30pm [et]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh noes, we lost to a GOOD Heat team that beat the LAKERS, Utah, Denver and a host of other good teams.

Oh noes, they beat us when their ROOKIE made 6 3 pointers and couldn't seem to miss a shot.

Oh noes, our 7'3 Center is obviously still a little stiff from his injury, and in the first half we couldn't seem to make an open shot.

Sheesh guys, we lost a game to a good team on their floor when they were on fire. There is a reason a lot of us were worried about this game, and you just saw why. We are a 5 loss team, one of the top 3 teams in the NBA, and we lost a game where we were cold. The heat are VERY talented and couldn't seem to miss a shot tonight. To top it all off we were on their floor, in front of an raucous crowd who had already witnessed this team knock of another elite team (Lakers).

I'm sick of talk of cutting players after a loss just because they had a bad game. Boobie doesn't deserve it, the only player who had a great game was LBJ. Maybe we should cut the rest of the team!

CHILL OUT

Bro.

You're not a TINY bit worried we should have lost to WASH at the Q, almost lost to Miami at the Q, and now got beat by Miami in Miami?

That's 3 bad games in a row. Sure, we pulled out 2, but that's still kind of alarming. These teams arent world beaters.

Just got done watching the interview with Mario chalmers...and lebron walked up to him after the game and said a couple of words to the rookie: "keep shooting like that, keep shooting like that boy, your gonna make teams pay...Teams are gonna learn to respect you". Mario said thats a greatest compliments he has received from opposing player.

LeBron should have told his teammates that at halftime!

Can we please stop with this Boobie nonsense. He had a bad game so what. We lost so what. We are 26-5. second in the east and have the best player in the planet. Really im only worried about the playoffs. We are a far better team than last year and we still have pieces to improve.

Just chill guys.

I don't ever wish the cavs too lose but like someone said earlier, im glad we lost one as a wake-up call. In my opinion the last couple games we haven't looked that impressive so hopefully it will be good for the team.

+1. We have been playing sad as of late and finally losing one really should burn a fire. We have to be aggressive from the get go and not hitting our OPEN shots unlike the heat just shows us that we are not the ultimate team right now.

Wow, way to start your career on this site off with a bang. Negative rep

Alright....negative rep...Do I look like I care.....??? Do I lose a limb? Am I bleeding? Doesn't look like it.... so.....who cares???

I want to see the Cavs win and when we have an opportunity to beat Miami IN Miami we can't choke on these chances. It's kinda scary because in the playoffs were going to have to face teams like Orlando, Boston, Detroit or Atlanta (Maybe atleast 2 of these) on road games when the series is like 2-1 us or 3-2 us and we need to show we can win games on the road with confidence..

We are still 26-5, but those losses are against the Celtics, Hawks, Hornets, Heat and the Pistons...

ALL GAMES ON THE ROAD AGAINST ALL PLAYOFF OPPONENTS

Not good...not good:thumbdown

Do you really expect us to dominate every team we play during an 82 game season? We are on pace to have a high 60, low 70 win season. You know, close to record setting.

Every team will hit a slump during a season, that's why what Chicago did was so amazing. We're just hitting our slump now, and we still only lost ONE game to a good team on their floor. Sure we could have played better recently, but there is no way we were going to play at that high a level all season long.

Dude its an 82 game season plus another 25 in the playoffs calm down

When do we start figuring out the Magic Number for clinching the division?

The bench needs an efficient scorer, that's something we've known for awhile, but it's just now starting to show. And Wally does not constitute an efficient scorer.

Even though the cavs didnt make their shots, they lost because of missing assigments, bad rotations, using the wrong defensive schemes on the wrong players, not respecting Miami's 3pt shooters, Gambleling for steals, and falling victem to full court press, Not using their size advantage over miami, and playing to Miamis full court basketball style. Id say the coaches didnt do their job***specially worse considering you played the team 2 days ago***

No, but 3 bad games in a row is a trend.

Career?

No one gets paid to be on here.

Anyway! Miami was on a hot streak with 3s and that was one of the biggest factors besides the bad 1st half play. Cavs are definitely not invincible and I don't think they can get to the finals again without another piece, a trade needs to happen.

Game over. Many things went wrong for the Cavs tonight. I hope this sends a message to Mike Brown, the team, and the whole staff that we are not a perfect team, and need improvement.

We played with no energy at all to start the game, and the Heat did. I was surprised. I thought that after such a tough fought game two days ago, the Cavs would come ready, and with energy. The Cavs played poor defensively, and couldn't hit a shot. I blame Mike Brown for not getting the team pumped up, and yelling at them to drive to the basket! LeBron was the only one who did that. Happy birthday LeBron, a game that one would think was a carbon copy of games a few years ago when LeBron had no help. LeBron and Delonte were the only two who played good.

Through out the whole game, we could not hit a freaking jump shot. That is when we have to drive! No one figured it out. Sure, besides LeBron, we don't have a great driver on this team, but Mo, Delonte, and Boobie could have done much more. As some one mentioned earlier in this thread, Gerald Wallace would be great for situations like these. Need someone to drive to the hoop? Someone to contain Dwyane Wade? G-Force is your man.

Austin Carr said at the end of the game that the Cavs dug themselves into to deep of a whole to come back from. While I agree that it wasn't good that we got down by that much, we cut the lead down to 1-point in the fourth quarter. We dug ourselves out of the hole, but as quickly as we climbed out, we fell back in! I thought that cutting the lead to one would be a huge momentum changer for the Cavs, but after the Heat went on what? A 9-0 run? Rediculous.

Boobie Gibson, where were you tonight? 24 minutes of bad defensive play, a crucial bricked hook shot, 1-7 from the floor when it counted (3-9 total, but two threes when it was over). I'm going to give you the break since you're still probably sore, but when you see the you can't make a shot, quit shooting!

Call me crazy, but this Heat team does not scare me at all for the playoffs. I doubt that we will play them, unless they pull a first-round upset, but they have a lot of weaknesses. First, Mario Chalmers, Michael Beasley, and Daequan Cook. 3 of Miami's big minute rotational players. Mario and Michael are rookies while Cook is a sophomore. A lot of young, inexperienced guys in this league choke in the playoffs. You can't count on it, but it does happen. Also, they don't have a center. If we were smart today, we could have fed Z every time. Z should dominate this team. Finally, compare position by position, and the Cavs are better at every spot but SG.

Very disappointing game, but hopefully they learn from this. Luckily we have an easy week and a half with Chicago, @Washington, then Charlotte to get ready for the big Boston game.

Oh, and one last thing. I'm going to try to stay as positive I can after this loss. Who honestly thought the Cavs would not get upset at all the whole season. Every elite team goes through dry-spells, and hopefully the Cavs are just getting it out of there system, and are ready to start rolling.

Go Cavs!
