One interesting thing is some people have wondered if Rose is playing too many minutes and is hitting the rookie wall by being worn out. Mayo plays heavy minutes too but I haven't seen Grizzlies fans voice concern for Mayo possibly hitting a wall.

I have. Check out Realgm. His shot selection isnt that great well guess what he is a rookie. He is being asked to score alot and since he is the 2guard, he gets his opportunities to make the decision whether or not to shoot it. Derrick Rose has to run a team and get others involved. Rose biggest asset right now is his ability to score off the dribble. He'll have to learn when to use that ability or when to have his teammates do the scoring in better situations.

But really when anyone says Derrick Rose is ALREADY a bust it has to be the worst post of the year at this point in time. He definitely isn't as polished as a Chris Paul or Deron Williams but he is already better than at least Williams in some areas. I can see why one would say he is similar to Marbury, but I think he is ability as a passer is more natural than Marbury ever had.

No he's not, he isn't the offensive focal point of his team. Rudy Gay is the offensive focal point of that team, Mayo is the second option. He is also splitting time at PG and SG.

Um you misunderstood my post. I'm saying that he has the green light to shoot it when he gets the ball. Derrick Rose does not have the green light because he IS the point guard and supposed distributor. Many times a point guard who is young tries to 'fit in' and can get away from their strengths. It is obvious that Rose's strength is scoring whenever he wants. However, to appease his teammates and to play within the system he doesn't get a chance to score at every moment he gets the ball. Mayo on the other hand has the green light from what I have watched to score whenever he wants. Their team is in full development mode much like the Thunder so their young high draft pick players are allowed to explore their games unlike Rose. This is because Rose plays on a team that is critical of the play on the court because they have playoff aspirations. By the way Rose is not the first or even second option on the bulls team, it is supposed to be Gordon and Deng. However, Deng has sucked so much this year that Rose has picked up some of Deng's lack of production.
